If you’re trying to get an entry-level software engineering job, here are the top 3 things you should focus on:
*Coding*: This is a basic requirement for any software engineer. Pick up a language like Java or Go and become proficient in it.
*Data Structures and Algorithms*: Learn about various data structures and their benefits and limitations.
*Communication Skills*: Interviews require you to explain your thought process and ideas to the interviewer, so make sure you’re able to clearly and concisely explain the same. Additionally, communications skills can help set you apart from the crowd by helping you show how you’re a good cultural fit.
I highly recommend going through the videos in this FAANG interview series to understand how you can work on all of these. I give practical tips to prepare for the different aspects of tech interviews. th-cam.com/play/PLubAquLvaUMMdiK8vIvadwlbBszzCMSIt.html

Introduction to Data Structures by Cormen is the holy-grail for data structures and algorithms, but some concepts can be hard to grasp if you're a beginner: amzn.to/3VZr0Dc
      1. You should start by understand time and space complexities (Cormen is great for this!)
      2. Then learn about basic data structures. You can find easy to understand tutorials on Geeksforgeeks: www.geeksforgeeks.org/
Then move on to Cormen to learn more.
      3. Lastly, you should practice actual interview questions on Leetcode: leetcode.com/
Cormen has some good questions for each of these topics as well.
Make sure to watch the videos in the FAANG Interviews series and follow the channel for more such practical tips on preparing for software development interviews at big-tech companies!
