@@willathilldruprawls6246 100K views is not going to completely cover all the expense AND make decent profit at the same time. He definitely puts a lot more investment into his videos than some youtube channels which can make content for free that is clickbaity and trending for hundreds of thousands of views.

@@whzgud_ Im sure he is in the green from making his content to quit being an attorney to pursue it full time. But still he takes a lot of risks and spends quite a bit to make his content compared to others on the site and for that I give him a lot of respect.
For a lot of people older sets like Base Set or EX era was their childhood. For me, Black and White was mine, the Plasma sets have a special place in my heart. Thank you for this nostalgic trip down memory lane

Soon there will be more better cards in videos cause pokemon is gonna start printing more xy and sun and moon to make up for the lack of stuff during covid, stuff like EX boxes and tins and ETB’s too, i cant wait and when this happens the price of older packs will go down cause people will have more access to a more variety of cards so soon it will be cheaper for him to make these sick videos

This was the set that got me back into collecting. Collected in elementary when Pokémon first came out and then stopped. Working one night lots of my co workers were buying Pokémon cards so I bought one single pack the first one i had bought in years and years. Pulled the secret rare chArizard and been hooked collecting again since.
I love the black and white sets. They were a huge part of my childhood. In fact, I remember owning that secret rare Charizard as a kid (back then it was about $100), but then I traded it away for a Palkia EX full art without knowing its true value. Kinda sad, but I'm so glad that you decided to open this up for us! I really appreciate it!
15:17 this card brings back a lot of memories for me. This set was one of the last sets I bought packs from and I remember buying 3 of them in 2013/14 and pulling this exact card

In 2012, when I was in kindergarten, some kid had a non-holo (if I remember correctly) shiny charizard from this set and gave it away to some other kid. Something interesting that I still remember almost a decade later.

Every TCG player has NIGHTMARES about that Hypnotoxic Laser card. So many people actually quit the game when that card came out, it was that annoying to play against.

I cant even tell you how happy i am seeing this set opened. Its one of my faves with one of my holy grail card in it, that dang full art colress. I ALWAYS wanted to pull it, but that dream was crushed with just how high prices became for the set. Thank you for these happy memories leonhart!

I bought 20 packs of this set for $3 each off Amazon in 2014 and pulled the Charizard and sold it off for $120 :(

That shiny charizard is the rarest card that i own, unfortunately i unboxed it when i was young and there’s bits of small scratches but it is still good i think

I remember when I first got into Pokémon, this was the set that came out and my first prerelease I went to, I was lucky enough to buy 5 packs after the event ended. One of those packs had the charizard in it, well the lady hosting the event wanted to trade me 10 more packs for the card and within those 10 packs I pulled a second one. Talk about good luck. But sadly I don’t have either card and I’m very sad about it. But hopefully I’ll finally be able to afford it again because it is the only card I really want.

I have this shiny charizard and as far as I know it’s psa 9-10 it’s centered nothing looks bad on it it’s perfectly fine, but I can’t send it in for grading

You should do a series where you attempt to pull every rare in a set. Go with a cheap set so you don’t go broke 🤣 but everyday for a month you open some packs trying to pull the rare, put it in a binder and then auction it off to us viewers to help donate to mental health! Whatever you get to by the end of the month is what gets auctioned.

i remember when that Charizard came out. i did every thing i could to get my hands on it and when i did it quickly became my favorite card. i took it to my friends one time to show it off and he had some people their that he was friends with but i did not know. when i got home i noticed that something in the bag of stuff i brought was missing. it was the Charizard and i know for a fact i had put it in that bag when i finished showing it off. to this day i am convinced that one of those people that were their stole it and probably sold it for drug money. i was 15 at the time and was the only one of my friends who did not do drugs and ever since they started they became very different people and started hanging around with very bad people. moral of the story is dont do drugs and dont show your expensive stuff to people that do them either kids.
I wish I could open up and pull a crazy Charizard like that. Like just to have the means to do so must be crazy exciting and fun. Pack fresh vintage charizard would be crazy feeling.
