This is something I only recently, after years of being a christian, came to understand. Our final home will not be in heaven. It'll be a new, physical, perfect world! When we die, we will be with god in heaven, but at judgement day everyone who died and currently is with god will also be phsyically resurrected into a new, sanctified body to live on the new earth. I can't be the only one who always had this misconception that we will be forever in heaven, right? I feel a little silly :D This realization gave me a new kind of vigor to actually gather trasures in heaven, as the Bible says, for this perfect world. So everyone who reads this, invest your time, money and effort into the kingdom of god, to gather yourself eternal treasures instead.

It could also mean that the current EARTH is RE-DONE to make for a NEW EARTH. The same could be said for the NEW HEAVEN. God mentioned New Heavens and New Earth by the Prophet Isaiah... Isaiah 65:17) "For, behold, I create NEW HEAVENS and a NEW EARTH: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind." God also mentioned the vanishing away of the old... Isaiah 51:6) "Lift up your eyes to THE HEAVENS, and look upon THE EARTH beneath: for THE HEAVENS shall VANISH AWAY like SMOKE, and THE EARTH shall WAX OLD like A GARMENT, and THEY that DWELL THEREIN shall DIE in LIKE MANNER: but MY SALVATION shall be FOR EVER, and MY RIGHTEOUSNES shall NOT BE ABOLISHED." [Notice how God mentioned: 'MY SALVATION' and 'MY RIGHTEOUSNESS' - it is not The BELIEVERS SALVATION nor BELIEVERS RIGHTEOUSNESS, but GOD's.] Similarly, when a person is saved, he becomes born again, born anew, BORN FROM ABOVE. The OLD MAN should be considered 'dead', for he is now a NEW MAN. He is still the same person, but he becomes a new person. He's a NEW MAN in CHRIST, and HE is BORN ANEW, he is a NEW CREATURE and part of a NEW CREATION. This is just a TASTE of SOME of the BENEFITS of being a CHILD OF GOD. What is written in Revelation 21 and 22 is also... just a TASTE of THE NEW HEAVEN(S) AND THE NEW EARTH! End of Part I...
New Heaven and New Earth at Jesus first coming is Spiritual Israel(Christian) because physical Israel broke the God's law. Spiritual Israel is the new covenant. Now again this Spiritual Israel(Christian) also broke the God's law become the group of mix teaching (sea= world of Christianity) and before Jesus first coming Judaism is the world of mix teaching (sea). So, God has to made new covenant again to create New Spiritual Israel and they are only who kept the God's law perfectly forever. It's called New Heaven New Earth. Because God's main objective of working over 6000 years is to create His kingdom on Earth and to live with His people eternally. "Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven" is a prophecy in the Lord's prayer.
Will all believers from the beginning of time be on the same new Earth 🌍? Or will there be many new Earths to house the various generations of human believers? Hard to imagine how we will all fit and get along on the same new Earth.
@Corinne Blair Why is it hard for you to believe we will all fit on the new earth and get along? Billions of people fit on this earth right now, they don't all get along but they fit! God can make room for anyone. Think of all the unused space on this earth like deserts, outback, forests, mountainous regions that are uninhabited; God can make those liveable areas. With God, possibilities are literally endless so don't limit Him. He can do whatever whenever He wants. Or do you honestly think God will run out of room for His people and there's nothing He can do about it??
This has a lot to do with the "rapture" doctrine. I am beginning to really understand the "rapture" doctrine according to Scripture without the Darby/Dispensational/Scofield filter. "For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! COME OUT TO MEET HIM.' Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps." Matthew 25:3-7 There are several things that should help us see the error of the teaching about a "rapture" and disappearing Christians, rising naked into the sky, as popularized by many teachers in these end times. Jesus promised us that false teachers, false Christs and false prophets would arise. At least five things are key to understanding Christ's return: 1. Heaven is not some far off place. 2. Christ will return only once. 3. The dead being raised and the living meeting them in the air to be with the returning Jesus, is so that they can usher Him in in the second coming in the establishment of His eternal kingdom. In other words, they will not be whisked off to some place in outer space. "Wherever two or three are gathered in my name, I am there in their midst," Jesus said. When Jesus appears, it will not be that He comes from some far off place, but that He makes the invisible visible, in the twinkling of an eye. Those who have died will suddenly appear with Him as will the Christians who are still alive. In the culture of Jesus day, this would have been clearly understood. Kings or magistrates, when they had gone out of a city would be greeted and welcomed back by the people of the city by them going out to meet the magistrate. That is the same thing we see in what Jesus said about the virgins in Matthew 25, going out to meet the bridegroom when he finally came. Then going in together for the wedding. 4. The "two grinding at the mill, one taken and the other left" is clearly talking about Jesus' return. In context, an important principle to understand Scripture the way it was intended to be understood, those taken were taken away in judgment at the time of Noah. All "those taken" died in the flood with Noah and his family being "left behind"! 5. When I became a Christian in 1971, those who believed in the "rapture" doctrine were in agreement that Jesus would return by 1988, 40 years after Israel became a nation; one generation after 1948. These were leaders in the church who seemed to have special insight and knew how to interpret Bible prophecy. Obviously, in 2022, they have been exposed as false teachers or false prophets claiming the Scriptures said something they did not say.
1. People claimed the rapture would happen in a certain year. Then proven to be false. So what? This is not the same thing as the rapture being false, just like the second coming predictions have been proven wrong before. 2. The lamps parable doesn’t even talk about the rapture, but rather the second coming. 3. The one taken and left behind does indeed talk about being taken for judgement, it doesn’t talk about the rapture 4. Heaven is not far off, so what? How does that contradict the rapture. 5. Jesus comes back once where His feet touch the Earth. He returns with His saints He raptured, gathering them FROM one end of heaven to the other. How does this contradict the rapture. Everything you said was pointless, probably because using the Bible to try to prove a biblical doctrine wrong doesn’t go well.
since the new earth of which is heaven, what is the new heavens?, and wouldn't our technology be absolutely perefect (at maximum is very weak type 4 civilization, at MOST, at least is full on type 3 civilization)
In Isaiah 65, the new heavens and new earth includes birth, aging and death. That is not the eternal state. In Revelation 21, the new Jerusalem is a cube with each dimension 1,380 miles. It would be some trick to place that on earth. Unless, of course, we are the new Jerusalem built with living stones, Revelation is symbolic, and the new (kainos not neos) heavens and earth represents the new covenant.
REVELATION 21 - PART II In the last two chapters of the book of the Prophet Ezekiel, the prophet wrote about the boundaries that God established for the Twelve Tribes of Israel. The Children of Israel were going to inherit this land that God had promised them. This COVENANT was for 'BORN-AGAIN' ISRAEL. God had made a Covenant with Israel, but Israel failed on their end of the Covenant; therefore, God had made a New Covenant with Israel. This New Covenant needed a New Sacrifice: that Sacrifice was 'The Lamb of God', The Lord Jesus Christ. This was the blood necessary for the New Covenant. This is/was an EARTHLY COVENANT, not HEAVENLY - Heaven did not and does not need any COVENANT. In Chapter 20 of the book of the Revelation - that chapter consists of THE THOUSAND YEARS that will be established on this Earth when THE FATHER will get HIS REST (For that will also be known as the SEVENTH DAY or SABBATH). The Lord Jesus will then be in his Divine Position of: THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE LORD OF LORDS, THE KING OF KINGS, THE LORD TSIDKENU from the LINE of DAVID; and THE LORD SHAMMAH ---- This is coming soon and very soon. In Chapter 21 of Revelation, Chapter 20 will be completed. Just as the Lord Jesus said on the cross: 'It is Finished.' - His ministries as: The PROPHET, THE GOOD SHEPHERD, THE MESSIAH, THE REJECTED KING, THE MEAT (OR GRAIN) OFFERING, A GREAT LIGHT, THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD - just to name a few. These TITLES of offices were mainly used when he visited Israel during the time of his EARTHLY MINISTRY. When Jesus Christ DIED on that cross, it was not only to pay for our sins, but to be the ANTI-TYPE of the following: The SIN OFFERING, the TRESPASS OFFERING, the PEACE OFFERING, the BURNT OFFERING, THE PASSOVER LAMB, the ATONEMENT SACRIFICE, and to conquer DEATH, and THE DEVIL, and HELL as a MAN, even as a SERVANT, but it was also the BLOOD required for THE NEW COVENANT for THE HEBREWS, the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL. This is just a little TASTE of that NEW HEAVEN and NEW EARTH. Now in verses 2, 9, and 10 of Chapter 21 of Revelation... "And I John saw the HOLY CITY, NEW JERUSALEM, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as A BRIDE adorned for her HUSBAND. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in FINE LINEN, CLEAN and WHITE: for the FINE LINEN is the RIGHTEOUSNESS of saints. And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are CALLED unto the MARRIAGE SUPPER of THE LAMB. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God." In the MARRIAGE of THE LAMB, there are the following: THE LAMB, THE BRIDE, and those that are CALLED unto the MARRIAGE SUPPER of THE LAMB. THE LAMB IS THE LORD JESUS. THE BRIDE consists of THE CHURCH, but is not limited to THE CHURCH. THE GUESTS are also SAVED INDIVIDUALS, which will probably consist of different groups of people. The Apostle Paul also mentions in his Epistle to the Galatians of the two Jerusalems... Galatians 4:25,26) "For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to JERUSALEM which NOW IS, and is in bondage with her children. But JERUSALEM which is above is free, which is the MOTHER of us all." The physical Jerusalem which currently is existing is one Jerusalem. There is also another... one that descends our of Heaven from God. John also mentions this other Jerusalem... ...THAT GREAT CITY, the HOLY JERUSALEM is seen descending out of HEAVEN from GOD in Revelation 21. Revelation 21:11-14) "Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious, even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal; And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel: On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates. And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb." This NEW JERUSALEM is described as having: a LIGHT like unto most precious stone, even like as JASPER STONE, clear as CRYSTAL... Also, a HIGH GREAT WALL with TWELVE GATES with the NAMES of the TWELVE TRIBES of ISRAEL, and TWELVE ANGELS each at one of the TWELVE GATES. The WALL of THE CITY having TWELVE FOUNDATIONS with the names of the TWELVE APOSTLES of THE LAMB. Then was given to John the information about the measure of the city, and the make of it as well... This will be AFTER the MILLENNIUM. I've had dreams about traversing the universe with God and seeing different galaxies and planets.

The OLD MAN should be considered 'dead', for he is now a NEW MAN. He is still the
same person, but he becomes a new person. He's a NEW MAN in CHRIST, and HE is
BORN ANEW, he is a NEW CREATURE and part of a NEW CREATION. This is just a TASTE
of SOME of the BENEFITS of being a CHILD OF GOD.
What is written in Revelation 21 and 22 is also... just a TASTE of THE NEW HEAVEN(S)
AND THE NEW EARTH!

New Heaven and New Earth at Jesus first coming is Spiritual Israel(Christian) because physical Israel broke the God's law.
Spiritual Israel is the new covenant.
Now again this Spiritual Israel(Christian) also broke the God's law become the group of mix teaching (sea= world of Christianity) and before Jesus first coming Judaism is the world of mix teaching (sea).
So, God has to made new covenant again to create New Spiritual Israel and they are only who kept the God's law perfectly forever. It's called New Heaven New Earth. Because God's main objective of working over 6000 years is to create His kingdom on Earth and to live with His people eternally.
"Thy kingdom come on earth as it is in Heaven" is a prophecy in the Lord's prayer.

Will all believers from the beginning of time be on the same new Earth 🌍? Or will there be many new Earths to house the various generations of human believers? Hard to imagine how we will all fit and get along on the same new Earth.

@Corinne Blair Why is it hard for you to believe we will all fit on the new earth and get along? Billions of people fit on this earth right now, they don't all get along but they fit! God can make room for anyone.
Think of all the unused space on this earth like deserts, outback, forests, mountainous regions that are uninhabited; God can make those liveable areas. With God, possibilities are literally endless so don't limit Him. He can do whatever whenever He wants. Or do you honestly think God will run out of room for His people and there's nothing He can do about it??
This has a lot to do with the "rapture" doctrine.
I am beginning to really understand the "rapture" doctrine according to Scripture without the Darby/Dispensational/Scofield filter.
"For when the foolish took their lamps, they took no oil with them, but the wise took flasks of oil with their lamps. As the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and slept. But at midnight there was a cry, ‘Here is the bridegroom! COME OUT TO MEET HIM.' Then all those virgins rose and trimmed their lamps." Matthew 25:3-7
There are several things that should help us see the error of the teaching about a "rapture" and disappearing Christians, rising naked into the sky, as popularized by many teachers in these end times. Jesus promised us that false teachers, false Christs and false prophets would arise.
At least five things are key to understanding Christ's return:
1. Heaven is not some far off place.
2. Christ will return only once.
3. The dead being raised and the living meeting them in the air to be with the returning Jesus, is so that they can usher Him in in the second coming in the establishment of His eternal kingdom. In other words, they will not be whisked off to some place in outer space. "Wherever two or three are gathered in my name, I am there in their midst," Jesus said. When Jesus appears, it will not be that He comes from some far off place, but that He makes the invisible visible, in the twinkling of an eye. Those who have died will suddenly appear with Him as will the Christians who are still alive.
In the culture of Jesus day, this would have been clearly understood. Kings or magistrates, when they had gone out of a city would be greeted and welcomed back by the people of the city by them going out to meet the magistrate. That is the same thing we see in what Jesus said about the virgins in Matthew 25, going out to meet the bridegroom when he finally came. Then going in together for the wedding.
4. The "two grinding at the mill, one taken and the other left" is clearly talking about Jesus' return. In context, an important principle to understand Scripture the way it was intended to be understood, those taken were taken away in judgment at the time of Noah. All "those taken" died in the flood with Noah and his family being "left behind"!
5. When I became a Christian in 1971, those who believed in the "rapture" doctrine were in agreement that Jesus would return by 1988, 40 years after Israel became a nation; one generation after 1948. These were leaders in the church who seemed to have special insight and knew how to interpret Bible prophecy. Obviously, in 2022, they have been exposed as false teachers or false prophets claiming the Scriptures said something they did not say.
1. People claimed the rapture would happen in a certain year. Then proven to be false. So what? This is not the same thing as the rapture being false, just like the second coming predictions have been proven wrong before.
2. The lamps parable doesn’t even talk about the rapture, but rather the second coming.
3. The one taken and left behind does indeed talk about being taken for judgement, it doesn’t talk about the rapture
4. Heaven is not far off, so what? How does that contradict the rapture.
5. Jesus comes back once where His feet touch the Earth. He returns with His saints He raptured, gathering them FROM one end of heaven to the other. How does this contradict the rapture. Everything you said was pointless, probably because using the Bible to try to prove a biblical doctrine wrong doesn’t go well.
My only question is, how will we all fit?
The key word is "New" earth. Which means it will be designed to fit all.
since the new earth of which is heaven, what is the new heavens?, and wouldn't our technology be absolutely perefect (at maximum is very weak type 4 civilization, at MOST, at least is full on type 3 civilization)
What does it mean the many Mansions?

In Isaiah 65, the new heavens and new earth includes birth, aging and death. That is not the eternal state. In Revelation 21, the new Jerusalem is a cube with each dimension 1,380 miles. It would be some trick to place that on earth. Unless, of course, we are the new Jerusalem built with living stones, Revelation is symbolic, and the new (kainos not neos) heavens and earth represents the new covenant.
REVELATION 21 - PART II
In the last two chapters of the book of the Prophet Ezekiel, the prophet wrote about the boundaries
that God established for the Twelve Tribes of Israel. The Children of Israel were going to inherit
this land that God had promised them. This COVENANT was for 'BORN-AGAIN' ISRAEL.
God had made a Covenant with Israel, but Israel failed on their end of the Covenant; therefore,
God had made a New Covenant with Israel. This New Covenant needed a New Sacrifice:
that Sacrifice was 'The Lamb of God', The Lord Jesus Christ. This was the blood necessary for
the New Covenant. This is/was an EARTHLY COVENANT, not HEAVENLY - Heaven did not
and does not need any COVENANT.
In Chapter 20 of the book of the Revelation - that chapter consists of THE THOUSAND YEARS
that will be established on this Earth when THE FATHER will get HIS REST (For that will also
be known as the SEVENTH DAY or SABBATH).
The Lord Jesus will then be in his Divine Position of: THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING
FATHER, THE LORD OF LORDS, THE KING OF KINGS, THE LORD TSIDKENU from the
LINE of DAVID; and THE LORD SHAMMAH ---- This is coming soon and very soon.
In Chapter 21 of Revelation, Chapter 20 will be completed. Just as the Lord Jesus said on the cross:
'It is Finished.' - His ministries as: The PROPHET, THE GOOD SHEPHERD, THE MESSIAH,
THE REJECTED KING, THE MEAT (OR GRAIN) OFFERING, A GREAT LIGHT, THE LIGHT
OF THE WORLD - just to name a few. These TITLES of offices were mainly used when he visited
Israel during the time of his EARTHLY MINISTRY.
When Jesus Christ DIED on that cross, it was not only to pay for our sins, but to be the ANTI-TYPE
of the following: The SIN OFFERING, the TRESPASS OFFERING, the PEACE OFFERING,
the BURNT OFFERING, THE PASSOVER LAMB, the ATONEMENT SACRIFICE, and to conquer
DEATH, and THE DEVIL, and HELL as a MAN, even as a SERVANT, but it was also the BLOOD
required for THE NEW COVENANT for THE HEBREWS, the CHILDREN OF ISRAEL. This is
just a little TASTE of that NEW HEAVEN and NEW EARTH.
Now in verses 2, 9, and 10 of Chapter 21 of Revelation...
"And I John saw the HOLY CITY, NEW JERUSALEM, coming down from God out of heaven,
prepared as A BRIDE adorned for her HUSBAND.
And there came unto me one of the seven angels which had the seven vials full of the seven last plagues,
and talked with me, saying, Come hither, I will shew thee THE BRIDE, the LAMB's WIFE.
And he carried me away in THE SPIRIT to a great and high mountain, and shewed me THAT GREAT
CITY, the HOLY JERUSALEM, descending out of heaven from God,"
In Revelation 19, there is also a mentioning of MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB...
Revelation 19:7-9)
"Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for THE MARRIAGE OF THE LAMB is come,
and HIS WIFE hath made herself ready.
And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in FINE LINEN, CLEAN and WHITE: for the
FINE LINEN is the RIGHTEOUSNESS of saints.
And he saith unto me, Write, Blessed are they which are CALLED unto the MARRIAGE SUPPER
of THE LAMB. And he saith unto me, These are the true sayings of God."
In the MARRIAGE of THE LAMB, there are the following: THE LAMB, THE BRIDE, and
those that are CALLED unto the MARRIAGE SUPPER of THE LAMB.
THE LAMB IS THE LORD JESUS. THE BRIDE consists of THE CHURCH, but is not limited
to THE CHURCH. THE GUESTS are also SAVED INDIVIDUALS, which will probably consist of
different groups of people.
The Apostle Paul also mentions in his Epistle to the Galatians of the two Jerusalems...
Galatians 4:25,26)
"For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to JERUSALEM which NOW IS, and is
in bondage with her children.
But JERUSALEM which is above is free, which is the MOTHER of us all."
The physical Jerusalem which currently is existing is one Jerusalem. There is also another...
one that descends our of Heaven from God. John also mentions this other Jerusalem...
...THAT GREAT CITY, the HOLY JERUSALEM is seen descending out of HEAVEN
from GOD in Revelation 21.
Revelation 21:11-14)
"Having the glory of God: and her light was like unto a stone most precious,
even like a jasper stone, clear as crystal;
And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names
written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates;
and on the west three gates.
And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of
the twelve apostles of the Lamb."
This NEW JERUSALEM is described as having: a LIGHT like unto most precious stone,
even like as JASPER STONE, clear as CRYSTAL...
Also, a HIGH GREAT WALL with TWELVE GATES with the NAMES of the TWELVE
TRIBES of ISRAEL, and TWELVE ANGELS each at one of the TWELVE GATES.
The WALL of THE CITY having TWELVE FOUNDATIONS with the names of the
TWELVE APOSTLES of THE LAMB.
Then was given to John the information about the measure of the city, and the make of
it as well...
Revelation 21:15-21)
And he that talked with me had a GOLDEN REED to measure the city, and the gates thereof,
and the wall thereof.
And the city lieth foursquare, and the length is as large as the breadth: and he measured
the city with the reed, TWELVE THOUSAND FURLONGS. The length and the breadth
and the height of it are equal.
And he measured the wall thereof, an HUNDRED AND FORTY AND FOUR CUBITS,
according to the measure of a man, that is, of the angel.
And the building of the wall of it was of JASPER: and the city was PURE GOLD,
like unto CLEAR GLASS.
And the foundations of the wall of the city were garnished with all manner of
PRECIOUS STONES. The first foundation was JASPER; the second, SAPPHIRE;
the third, a CHALCEDONY; the fourth, an EMERALD;
The fifth, SARDONYX; the sixth, SARDIUS; the seventh, CHRYSOLITE; the eighth,
BERYL; the ninth, a TOPAZ; the tenth, a CHRYSOPRASUS; the eleventh,
a JACINTH; the twelfth, an AMETHYST.
And the twelve gates were TWELVE PEARLS; every several gate was of ONE PEARL:
and the street of the city was PURE GOLD, as it were TRANSPARENT GLASS."
The Lord made NEW JERUSALEM with several PRECIOUS STONES and GEMS.
-One of the reasons is so that these GEMS could be used for GOD to SHINE by and
through them!
Revelation 21:22-27)
"And I saw no temple therein: for THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY and THE LAMB
ARE THE TEMPLE of it.
And the city had NO NEED of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it:
for the GLORY OF GOD did LIGHTEN it, and THE LAME is THE LIGHT thereof.
And the NATIONS of them which are SAVED shall WALK in THE LIGHT of it:
and THE KINGS of THE EARTH do bring THEIR GLORY and HONOUR into it.
And the gates of it SHALL NOT be shut at all BY DAY:
for there shall be NO NIGHT THERE.
And they shall bring THE GLORY AND HONOUR of THE NATIONS into it.
And there shall in NO WISE enter into it any thing that DEFILETH,
neither whatsoever WORKETH ABOMINATION, or MAKETH A LIE:
but THEY WHICH ARE WRITTEN in THE LAMB's BOOK OF LIFE."
...So that is it. This will be AFTER the MILLENNIUM.
Acts 13:38,39)
"Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that THROUGH THIS MAN
is preached unto you THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS:
And BY HIM all THAT BELIEVE are JUSTIFIED FROM ALL THINGS,
from which ye COULD NO BE justified by THE LAW OF MOSES."

There is no secret rapture. The second coming rapture is described by Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4 and 1 Corinthians 15.
