It’s a beautiful thing, the sound is similar (to my ears) to my early Hohner Club 1 which has zinc reeds, but the construction is clearly more than a tiny step up from Hohner!
The best sounding one so far. I contacted him concerning making an English concertina for me. Yes, but made with accordion reeds. I think that he was of the opinion that accordion reeds may not be desirable (for some players). There’s a Concertina Connection Rose model at Buttonbox.com that has accordion reeds and sounds fine. Thanks!
This one is so pretty. It's like the musical equivalent of the crockery you keep in the display cupboard
What a beautiful thing. And also I absolutely love the tune. What a beautiful tribute to your friend.
I don't understand why Anahata's layout hasn't become standard on the English box. Hearing his many uploads, in my view at least, confirms this view.
What a lovely box, and a lovely tune, Thank you.
Is your beginners Button Melodeon book still available? 🙂😎
I just really liked the song at the end. I'm sure Paul is up there. 15:46
Love the combination of walnut, and marbled papers it’s like a Victorian bookcase. My favourite so far.
Thanks John, what an absolutely gorgeous box!
Hello John! (I remember playing that instrument at Folk East - lovely box indeed!)

I also may have said "wax off" by instinct when you said "waxed on".
