God Speed Father Hesburgh! I grew up in an Irish American home. We are catholics and Notre Dame was always on the TV for football,but it meant so much more to my father. This was the pinacle of catholic education. We all loved Father Hesburgh and Notre Dame. I fell saddened at his loss but happy he is with his father in Heaven. My Dad is there, as well as many other Notre Dames fans that loved Father Hesburgh.There is a party in Heaven today. I'll be seeing you. . .

Great video! Avery accurate overview, though the one thing they miss was his huge influence on college sports,keeping it from becoming a total obsession & requiring academics first. While the rules and regs are often bent or broken by some colleges or administrations, they still provide a benchmark.
The other thing they missed in the video? He knew every student's name&face,&would greet you with a heartfelt hello. Amazing man. One word INTEGRITY. Only the Dalai Lama has earned the same respect
