TV Synopsis：For 15 hours and 15 minutes, surgeons in the operating room make time fly. Outside the operating room, however, time plays with us, and even for the strongest, it seems to catch up with us, slowing us down, wandering back and forth, until it freezes. After the many changes in the season 2 finale, everyone is thinking, remembering, and contemplating what's next. macdreamy realizes she made the wrong decision, but now it's Meridith's turn to make a mind-numbing choice, George still hasn't been able to respond to Kalie's burning love with those three words, and Izzie is pulling herself together, only to wonder if she'll ever come back. I just don't know if she'll ever come back, Christina realizes how deeply she loves Burk, and everyone is in a new situation. Finally, Meridith's panties, the protagonist of the Season 2 finale cliffhanger, turn out to have been picked up by Addison.
Welcome to Grace Hospital, west of Harvard's toughest surgical residency program, the most brutal training ground for medical recruits. Meredith, Izzie and Christina, yesterday students, today doctors. If they can survive the seven years of purgatory at Grace Hospital, they'll be qualified surgeons. Emergency workers are trained in situational awareness - and that includes doctors. One of the things they learn is to not have your back facing a hazard expressly for this reason. Some patients can be severely disoriented from injuries to the point of being dilusional.
They can and will bite, scratch, punch, and push you. Do not put a danger behind you that you can be pushed into.
Why would Grey be on THAT side of the patient? Like, she had tohave stepped over him to have her back to the ocean. Makes no sense.
Also: anyone else kind of creeped out how the little girl just watches her fall? Like, did she let anyone know that a doctor lady had just been pushed off the pier or not?
I getthat the kid could be in emotional shock, but she's alsoold enough to be capeable of communicating - as seen by her previously talking to Grey.
Children don't always feel powerful. Life happens around them. Also, she would be in shock. She saw many tragic things. Which ones does she know she has to remember? There were many tragedies. This was only one. She was probably more worried about her parents.
Look into how bad shock can be even for adults
Had a friend that was in a large accident when we were all about this girl's age. It made the news. I remember their description of the situation. Didn't know what to do, didn't know how to help. They weren't badly hurt, so they stood aside and played with their yo-yo while everyone around them were screaming. To this day they won't ride a bus if the weather is bad. This happens to adults, too. True shock can be fully crippling and wholly traumatizing.
Maybe she was facing that way to keep an eye on the girl in state of shock that wouldn't prolly move to the other side if she was asked to

She did and was in a comatose state. She balances between the world of life and death. Simultaneously her mother is dying with dementia and Derek goes in just before she passes and yells at her and blames Meredith’s state on Ellis her mother. Shortly after her mother passes and their spirits meet. Ellis tells Meredith that she is remarkable and extraordinary and apologizes for her failure as a mother and urges Meredith to live. Then Meredith runs back to the bed her body’s lying in and wakes from her coma.
Also when Meredith is seen sinking it’s not because she can’t make the swim. Yes the water is cold and she could get hypothermia. She swam lapse for cardio and is an excellent swimmer. Therefore when she allowed herself to sink. It was because she gave up!

@@kjjohnson557if you think she Gabe up and didn’t succumb to hypothermia, you’re so very wrong. Even as she’s sinking she says she’s not done. Hypothermia is nasty and you don’t have the first clue about how it affects bodies.
