Looks like the s series combines possibly getting the x9 series cabs? When will we see these on dealer lots? Looks like pretty exciting stuff on the way!

Thanks for asking, Mesh! We are proud to offer new G5 Universal displays, a new JDLink™ M modem and the StarFire™ 7000 Universal receiver available all as aftermarket options. These offerings make it easy for farmers to upgrade equipment they already own or to replace dated components so they can take advantage of current and future technology. We recommend reaching out to your local John Deere dealership to discuss your options. If needed, you can find their contact information at Deere.com/Dealer.
Great question, Doug! The G5 Universal Display has a processor three times faster than previous models, which allows for quicker cold boot times. If you're interested, you can learn more about the G5 here: spr.ly/6056ROHRo.
Thanks for the follow-up. The larger screen size noted with the G5 Universal Display comes from it replacing the 8.4-inch 4240 Universal Display. As for the CPU between the G5 and G5 Plus, these displays feature the same CPU with the same amount of memory. The main difference between the G5 and G5 Plus is driven by size of screen of 10.1 inches versus 12.8 inches respectively. We hope this helps to clarify things.
Hi Roger, thanks for the question. The G5Plus Extended Monitor will only work with G5 CommandCenter displays due to the difference in aspect ratios between the Gen 4 and G5. Gen 4 Extended Monitors will continue to be available for customers with Gen 4 CommandCenter displays. For more information about these monitors, we recommend reaching out to your local dealer. If needed, you can find your nearest dealer at Deere.com/Dealer.
Thanks for asking, Tristan. The 7R330 Tractor will ship with a Gen 4 CommandCenter™ display from the factory. The G5 Displays will be available for 2024 tractors. There currently isn't a kit to upgrade a Gen 4 CommandCenter™ tractor to a G5 CommandCenter™, however, we hear the request and are working towards a solution. We're sorry for any inconvenience that this may cause.

1080p?? That technology has been out since 2007….4K has been around since 2012. Leave it to Deere to make is seem “new” and “exciting”…..don’t get me wrong I think the G5 monitor will be great. Hopefully the subscription fee isn’t outrageous like the 4640.
and the question to me is also....do we need that,4K on a tractor screen? iam totaly fine with the picture quality on our MY18 6175R....so its not that big of a deal that deere took so long to get to 1080p.... for me anyway.
@@jddriver9565 For me it would be the simple fact of using it as a camera monitor. The picture quality of a 2630 is horrible. I don’t have anything new enough that has a 4600 in it so I can’t comment on that picture quality.
@JDdriver95 if that's the case, the price should reflect the specs that's in it. The iPad pro has so much spec, price to performance, it makes this gen5 screen look like a Amazon Kindle. For this outdated technology I wouldn't expect to pay no more than $500. The iPad pro cost around $1000. The current gen4 command screen cost $10k!!! MOST dumbest price for a heavy screen.
Compared to what current displays are it is a solid upgrade. The main constraint isn’t display tech but getting the compute power to run all those pixels. Hell of a lot more computer needed to run 4k over 1080p, so it’d draw more power and run hotter as a result, and at that point you’d have to start adding active cooling solutions which makes things a real pain.
Are you able to retrofit those into 2021 t660i's?
Will it be available for the 6 series as well? Faster boot times sound like a great idea...sometimes the computer on our 6175R needs a while to boot.

No, same old cabs with new standard LED lights
How come my new Gen 5 Plus doesn't work with the Gen 4 Extended Monitor like it says it will in the dealers sales manual?

Can u up grade the brand new deere harvester to the newer displays from the gen 3 they currently come from in factory

@@JohnDeere oh wow I didn’t know this was possible especially on forage forage harvester thanks for the response 👍
The gen 5 (non-plus) is 10.1" & is thus smaller than the 10.4" Gen 4. Is the processor slower too, or does both Gen 5 models use the same CPU?
