I’ve lost track of how many times I’ve watched this movie. It loomed so large in my life, and my first best friend in my new town bonded with me over quotes from it. We knew the whole thing by heart. Nobody could have done this role better than Angelina Jolie, she had the heart and the acting chops. I own three different copies of this movie lol
I own seven (7) 1:6 scale Phicen TBLeague Angelina Jolie Lara Croft figures. I have customized them in different outfits based on the movie and video games. They look amazing.
Angelina IS Lara Croft for me. This movie felt so right, everything was just perfect. Did not feel any of it from the latest movie sadly. Would rather rewatch this instead.
Angelina Jolie is Lara Croft! I mean she looks the part, it’s so insane. She was serving heavy LAU Lara and even sounded like her! I hope she makes a cameo in Alicia’s Lara sequel movie! They both played great Laras for their timeline! I can only imagine Natla for the villain if they made a 3rd movie!
The Legend trilogy came out after her movies. They took heavy inspiration from the films' themes, even formatted the croft manors to the movies' croft manor.
I saw this in the cinema with my friends, ahhh the days when we were young and would drool all over Angelina's scenes lol she was perfect casting, had the looks and the assets of Lara Croft. The newest Lara Croft doesnt even compare, love Alicia though

It does feel like an iconic and classic movie. Even if the second one was larger budget, there is something in the first one that makes it unique.
