It's so surreal to see you wrapping up med school. I remember watching your videos during early COVID while I was a premed trying to turn around a bad start to college. Now, I have received my first med school acceptance and will be in the class of 2028! Best of luck to you on your journey into residency!

I plan on taking (next year: last year if hs) like AP chem, AP stat, AP lit, and another one. People say for senior year to be easy but I am challenging myself even more than junior year 😂. Lol that first scene of you waking up with hair everywhere is the result of 4 grueling years of medical school haha. And these past 4 years have flown by, but not really. It's been a struggle for sure. I hope you'll remember us little folks when you're in your anesthesia residency lol.
Hey! I am a junior in high school and I have a love for stem. I plan on perusing the premed track. I took the science ap courses of ap psych (argumentative that it is science/history), so bio, and planning on ap chem. Any future advice? When I go to college, when is a good time to study for the MCAT? Even tho my parents r doctors, they never took that stuff since they were from a different country but loved to the states 😅.

For the last two days I’ve been shadowing a plastic surgeon. Does shadowing have any impact on the med school application
It definitely can! Shadowing can get you a good letter of recommendation. And, if the surgeon is associated with medical school, they can probably put in a good word.
Shaun, its crazy that its been 4 years since I found you channel. One question I did have is that for your clinicals, did you have to get permission to record these small snip its during your clinical shifts?
Are you allowed to rank programs you didn’t interview at or just the ones you interviews at?

Have you sent me a message on IG? :o Honestly, I feel like its 2 things- 1) you keep reminding yourself why you did this and keep the end goal in mind and 2) you end up on auto-pilot after a while if that makes sense? Like even when personal life stuff is happening you are still thinking about and focused on school and the career because its just become so integrated into your routine
