I own a lot of Chauvet lights but I have no knowledge of using DMX. Watching TH-cam is not enough details to learn it. Chauvet should conduct a Class locally so people like me can learn. And I bet Chauvet can sell more products if people can learn .
Hey man I feel you, I have well over 30 units of Chauvet products, from moving heads, 4Bar Flex, Swarm FX, Freedom uplights 20 units Etc. As far as DMX you have to start with the basics, what are you lighting, how do you want to control your lights via DMX board or software. Once you have answerd both questions then start learning your rig then DMX. I've tried it both with boards first, to difficult to manage with alot of lights. For me software was the way to go!!! I'm a DJ and I added lights later, then I started doing lights only, now I do both for myself and clients depending on what is needed. With all that said, check out TH-cam for lessons you will find alot of helpful videos to get you started! Happy lighting my friend!
Wow I love chauvet why because all my lights are from there and the Cool thing is that I am only 13 and I know how to use DMX and lots more Sydney Australia
Most lighting on the market today looks great with haze and smoke....however these type of demos don't show what the effect will look like in a dry situation !
You're right, the number of lights I have used that have very little effect when you can't use smoke or Haze. In most venues now you cant use smoke or haze
