    Determined to get back on the bike in 2020, and going by this video I shall pre-program Darlington Memorial Hospital's A+E into the sat-nav! Bit of a "blue" boy me, but fancy having a crack at the red stuff. I'm only 65.

    Hey man, I realise the vids a year olds and hopefully your much better now, but I feel your pain bro literally, I was out for nyon 6 months with a shoulder injury and there’s nothing more frustrating when you can’t fire on all cylinders on the trail, but at least you got out and had a go and things can only get better eh, easy mate stay safe 😎

      Hi mate, thanks for that. The shoulder is all good now and back to pretty much normal it did take a good year to fully recover from it mind, your right its so frustrating not been able to hit stuff full out hope your shoulder injury is coming on and your back to normal. Did you need surgery?

    I need to get over and try Hamsterley, looks awesome! Great video, good luck with the shoulder, speaking from experience, you need to be patient, it takes a long time to get full strength back.

    Saw your post on Old Enough to know better. Have given you a sub mate. I've been doing some of the trail commentary stuff myself so enjoying your vid. Hope you get better soon mate.

    Great video. Once I’m back riding and back in the north east then I’ll definitely get up there.

    I have asked over riders but what would you say is the best second hand full suspension MTB for under 600 pound

    Looks a cracking route, myself and a few lads are going up for the first time! Was there a cost for entry? Couldn't find anything on the site

    • @NEFRMtb

      There is a cost for the car park, but I’m not too sure what it is I think it’s about £5.00 for all day. It’s a cracking route like make sure you do K-Line, transmission and pikes teeth, all on the black route

  • @philo0

    Some of the break bumps on K-Line are shocking now

    • @philo0
      @philo0 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NEFRMtb It's the last jump of each set, huge bumps where people slam on the anchors. I think lines like this suffer in the winter months with the weather - the lips of the jumps have been destroyed due to people hitting it wet and same with the breaking bumps.

    I’m a total noob, I use a hard tail mtb, would it be ok on the red trail?

    • @NEFRMtb
      @NEFRMtb 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes mate you will be fine on a hard tail. There’s a few sections that can get a little rough but you’ll have a blast 👍

      Once you start to push yourself it’s mad how quickly you can start to progress. If you want to get used to doing some drops and features the skills loop at Hamsterley is a perfect trail to warm up on before hitting the red route.

      Hi reds great for hardtails blacks too rough with roots and rocks! But possible if you like the bumpy ride ! Shortcut to polity's is the way forward and then up2 descent centre and along to section 13! Hamsterly is awesome 👌 the guys there have done an amazing job building and maintaining the trails🤘

  • @DAEAJ1
    @DAEAJ1 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Noob alert again. Am I right in thinking that all the routes lead back to a main road and you can pick and choose what trail you can go on?

    • @NEFRMtb
      @NEFRMtb 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeh pretty much. The best place to park is the main car park and the trails from there are pretty well sign posted. Have you got the app called strava or Trailforks? Download them and they will show you where you are and the trails around you. You can combine part of the red with the black and blue trails making up your own route back to the car park.
