Use your oven for the easiest way to remove a wine label. Just make sure the temperature low, you only need it at 200 ºF or 100 ºC - Join the Wine Folly Club wfol.ly/club
BTW that's 200 ºF (not Celsius) - You can find the wine journal used in this video here: shop.winefolly.com/collections/wine-accessories/products/wine-journal-notebook
Back in the day, wine makers used water-soluble glue for their labels, and if you just soaked the bottle in water for 10 or 15 minutes, they would float right off. These days, they use some sort of synthetic adhesive that is not water-soluble. I'm so glad someone figured this out. Thanks! Now I can start saving my wine labels from really memorable bottles!
That's a really cool tip thanks, my wife loves keeping labels from Andre Clouet champagne, I don't know why it's just her thing! This is a game changer.
wow, 2 neat. I always thought how they made the bottles that had screw down lids instead of corkstoppers. When I was young we used to put butter knives in the oven to use as lighters. lol. And thought maybe they literally used those to make the spiral shapes.. I am assuming irl they just use a mold that can make them. lol. They prolly have like 2 pieces so when it seperates the bottle doesnt get stuck or have to be unscrewed.

Your wine journal will look slick!

She's good. She makes wine fun.
Love that!!!
That's actually how to save a wine label, but if you just want to remove it run it under hot water and peal it off.
ah yes indeed, proper nomenclature - You mean you don't want the label?! hahaha

Doesn't work for me.
Most modern glues will - but there are a few that won't peel off using a classic-paste glue.
