I ordered one with the solar panel and bag to hopefully power my modem and router during power outages (was just down for 2 days due to hurricane) and charge my phone and medical devices! Going to be getting a whole home generator some time in the near future but this will be nice to take on trips and stuff too!
"and my medical devices"... This may not be what you are looking for. Medical devices can use a lot of power. I advise you to do a little research on your medical device power consumption VS a power station capacity. If the river 3 does not meet your needs after you bought one, it is not their fault. It is yours for lack of research

Just bought this packaged with 45 watt solar panel for $321CAD 2 weeks ago, got the solar panel yesterday... reached out to ecoflow about the battery bank itself and they told me "sorry was out of stock, will send one out in November when stock replenished". =( bought it during that 2 day deal, should have gotten a promo code from this video. Not to self: check reviews for promo codes on swag I intend to buy before pulling the trigger. Btw, can I daisy chain solar panels for faster recharge rate? thanks in advance, great review, SOOO many features, cannot wait for it to FINALLY arrive.

@@RedceLL1978There certainly sponsored reviews out there. This video is not one of them. The video starts with "Let's check out." It's a very brief overview video. It does not go over all the pros and cons, as you say it does. As far as I can tell, no cons were mentioned at all. It goes over some (but not all) of the functions of the unit, and describes various use case scenarios. Reviews typically have the word "review" in the title, or the word "review" spoken at some point in the video. There are many other differences between reviews and overviews that you might consider on your own time.
@@JeremyPasswhichever you'd like to call it, I don't particularly care. If the video shows no downsides, (which it does, the guy literally brought up the higher price point and lack of ports) but in the event a video doesn't have any honesty about downsides, that just means it has even less credibility. No sponsored video has credibility because every product has drawbacks. You're really just making my point even further.
@@RedceLL1978 I think the point of this discussion is whether it's a review or an overview, not whether sponsored reviews are trustworthy, which I don't think anyone disagrees about. Anyway, this is a sponsored overview, not even close to a review. I'm ok with sponsored overviews personally, since they're basically just spoken manuals, right? And somewhat of an advertisement for the product. The point of short overview videos such as this one are to describe very generally what the unit can do, and hype it up a bit, and that's it. The "includes paid promotion" stamp that TH-cam puts at the top left of sponsored videos helps to let you know within the first few seconds if you should click away. So I click away quickly if it's a sponsored review.
Loving all of these portable power station reviews you've been doing. Out of all of them, I'd have to say this one takes the cake with it's very affordable price, even at retail cost. Keep up the good work!
If you plug it into your car while the car is running, it’s essentially working as a generator to produce electricity that was gonna be wasted anyway if you were already driving
Yes I can, great question…in one word, “versatility”. Examples: obviously anything that came with a car charger (fan, CPAP, rechargeable batteries charger, etc), add additional USB ports/PD ports by plugging in a std car usb adapter plug, add an additional small ac inverter for more 110v receptacles, and since it’s been around forever, there are dc adapter cables available to run almost anything 12v dc from a cigarette lighter port.

Ehh, I don't watch sponsored reviews, it destroys all your credibility and I can't take you as honest.
This isn't a review.

Can anyone actually justify a car charge port these days? Why is that still a plug option.

uh, that is the primary reason I got one. I got it to power a 12v cooler for day trips.
Are the batteries replaceable?
They last 10 years. I think you’ll want a new one by then.
In case you doubt me, google the lifespan of LiFe batteries
And I just bought the river 2 a couple months ago. 🤦♂️
That is sat good power station
Is it any good for UK users?
Waiting for this too, should be released in the uk some time before the end of this year.
@TechDaily I tried using the code but no discount was applied
Me either
It looks great, I like one please.
