Captain Toad levels in Bowser's Fury [Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury custom level mod ZXMany]

- I made a custom Bowser's Fury level (with a new Cat Shine for Mario/ new islands) based on the Captain Toad levels in Super Mario 3D World! Here's the new Bowser's Fury mod I made for the new Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury on the Nintendo Switch! I put the Captain Toad levels into Bowser's Fury, with a bit of a twist, swapping the green stars for warp cube key pieces, having warp cubes teleport you between the levels, adding toad houses with mystery boxes in between some levels, and some other slight changes :D
The new Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury on the Nintendo Switch has fantastic gameplay, and here's a fun and unique way to play the game by playing a level that's normally reserved for Captain Toad, but you play as Mario!

Dang, those three Toads have a sense of decoration, they put a Bowser Spike into their house.

They must be taking pointers from Bowser in the previous video, who had the flowers decorating his entry gate
@@ZXMany Update on that, I actually contacted Bowser to see if he could teach me how to design buildings, he hasn't called me back yet.
@@distortlfy-mm Yeah, his fortresses always look amazing. But there's one thing he could do better: Leave the lava in it's volcano instead of using it in his fortress. That would prevent him from... taking hot baths too.

In my five seconds of browsing Fur Step Island, I think there's a setting to stop the camera looking at Bowser. It would make sense since it doesn't always face him when the game properly begins. Regardless, super fun-looking level and a great take on the Toad levels!

Yeah, you can use power-ups once you get Bowser Jr! I can't remember if you can also get power-ups to work after your first cat shine or if you have to get Bowser Jr, some people were telling me you can get it to work after the first cat shine

Having Toad Houses between the actual levels was unexpected, but it's a good idea!
The Bowser Fury mechanics, especially Bowser's attacks, go really well together with these smaller levels.
It's fine to have the Toad House below in that part, since falling can be the camera's fault, it would be too punishing without it being the player's fault.
Getting the Cat Shine seems too inconsistent, but I really liked that keeping the power-ups made this so much easier in the next runs, so overall this was still a really good mod!

That's a cool idea! Do you mean taking a mystery house from Super Mario 3D World into Bowser's Fury, or making a custom Mystery House level? Or do you mean something else?

What happens if u collect 1000 cat shines
Great question! Cat Shines work pretty normally up until 1000, and then they get even stranger after 99,9999
If you have more than 999 shines, only the last 3 digits show up on your save file, but when you start the game, it shows up to the last 5 digits. So if you have 12,345 cat shines, your save file will say you have 345 cat shines, but you'll see that you have 12,345 when you start the game
If you have over 99,999 cat shines, only the last 5 digits show up in the game. So if you have 100,000 cat shines, I think it'll show up as 00,000 in the game if I remember correctly

Great question! Warp boxes are called "WarpCube" in the game's files :D Sometimes the name of something in the game's files is different than what we normally call it, and sometimes it's not different: warp boxes are "WarpCube", the key pieces for warp boxes are called "WarpCubeLockedPiece", goombas are "Kuribo", fire flowers are "FireFlower", and Rosalina is "Rosetta"!
I like the free moving camera but can you turn off bowser at the start? or maybe you could make the modded level after the first shine
Yeah, you could make Bowser either sleep the entire time or remove him :D The camera in Bowser's Fury is so nice!
