      or a years long project. i wouldn't know where to start...aside from having the 35 sinks and hot tub removed.

      @@toddinthemiddle I mean most places cant even buy a decent view for 5mil let alone 20+ acres with it so if you have that kinda money dropping another 1mil to make it insane isn't much

      Absolutely.
      Clearly not designed for a single family.

    I would see a major remodeling to make several spacious rooms with bathrooms. So many changes at the top of my head. I like the kitchen appliances but for a family... that kitchen is huge... massive amount of work. The idea of having so much land to grow food is great,

    The height of those counters, at 6’4” id feel like Gulliver.
    The only salvageable parts of that place are the pool area and driving range.
    Three years later, I’m curious if they ever sold it, and if it’s still standing.

    One thing I noticed that was not mentioned, every single toilet on the entire property including the care takers house, has a bidet. That’s actually a huge Luxury convenience. Very popular outside the United States, I couldn’t live without mine because of a post surgical situation that just makes that nasty part of life carefree and clean. Very nice.

    Trust me dude, as you get older, the leg kick need to those free standing tubs a bit scarry. You will welcome the spa tub features. I might add a Hand Rail.

    I wouldn't sell any of the property. I'd turn the five acres just below the house into a farm and grow all my non-meat food, and put some cool outbuildings on it. I'd keep the rest as-is just so I wouldn't have close neighbors. I'd spend a couple of years and two or three million bucks on major renovations in the house. First on the list would be a giant, state-of-the-art movie theater. I'd also build an awesome outdoor kitchen with all the bells and whistles. What an incredible property.

    Looks like you need to find another Japanese company to buy it for a corporate retreat To bring it up to any kind of Western homestyle you're looking at at at least another 2 million dollars Is beautiful property Once you look at what's supposed to be a home just looks like Japanese business It's not trying to be racial just not everybody's style

    Sweeping changes could create Nirvana. Its got The View. Right now it's no cigar, may have to tear it down, if it can't be restyled into a fantastic Japanese home and garden.

    Great vids Mike - thanks for the content.
    Quick Q's:
    1) Is financing a second home in Hawaii the same as 2nd home financing guidelines on the mainland?
    2) How is vacation rental market (VRBO/AirBNB/Etc.) for homes like this - in these areas? (Is is allowed by HOA? Is is profitable?)
    Thanks!

    • @HawaiiRealEstate
      @HawaiiRealEstate  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      aloha! Financing is the same here, so yes to that part. STVR's are pretty complex. For a house you have to 1. Have an association that allows it, 2. Have a special certificate grandfathering in use from before 2019.
      As for profit- that all depends on the property, popularity, rate, etc. It's a good way to get some money to cover carrying costs. If you can have a gross CAP of 6% here, thats good.

    This Video is incorrect now as the new/present owner has broken up the parcels & is attempting to sell the 5 acre plot that contains the buildings described in this video for $7+ million US.

    Oh NO!…I went to the real estate page and saw that someone remodeled it. They put in a gal dang white kitchen,…ugh.
    They ruined it. The sit down showers are all gone…just ugh. From dream home to ugh in one misguided remodel. Just,…WHY?

    Best View so far. Commercial use??

    • @HawaiiRealEstate
      @HawaiiRealEstate  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends- I hear it was targeted as a retreat of some sort. As an Ag zoned property, there is a list of specific business uses that are allowed. Anything else would require a Special Use Permit.

    • @jasoneisert3915

We must put on the whole armor of God in these last of days for the days are evil. But The Lord Almighty, Yeshua has given not given us a spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind!!
