Thank you Jennifer for having such a lovely artist as a guest to demonstrate her technique for painting roses and leaves. It was a lot of fun to watch and I appreciate seeing it. Your such a generous person and a great teacher. Thank you again I enjoyed it pat
Dawn, I could watch you draw and color - especially watercolor - for hours. You are so talented and generous. Your teaching skills are superb - no matter the level of difficulty of a project, you make me believe that I can do it. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
I think I am stunned. To see the end result of the roses and think that those detailed gorgeous roses came from a simple stamp- one that is fairly crud in design. Adding the Copic colors gives the design so much detail it seems impossible that it started with a stamp. But whether you are "certified" in Copic or not, I suspect this technique is partially due to your artistic skills. Gorgeous cards and terrific new technique.
Dawn is one of my most favorite crafters out there! I adore her style, her products, her videos, and just her as a person. She's exceptional in every way. Thanks so much for having her guest with you Jennifer!
Dawn, watching you colour and create those beautiful images never gets old!! You make it look effortless! Definitely going to give this technique a try. Might just need a wee cup of tea and watch some more first!!
Stunning! It looks like I could pick the roses off the page & out then in a vase, I think I can even smell them they are so realistic. Really a great 3d look. Thank you so much fir dating this great technique.
WOW!!! Absolutely stunning!!! Dawn, Jennifer was right.....you are a true artist! Thank you sooooo much for sharing your technique. I will "try" it but I am by no means an artist; that being said, using your technique will no doubt enhance my image and that is what crafting is all about....learning, growing, inspiring and sharing.
Dawn, You make it look so easy, like Jennifer you're an excellent teacher, and I can't wait to try it. I can guarantee mine won't come close to your breathing results, but it looks so relaxing and rewarding. It's a perfect way to forget the days stresses, by getting lost in creative bliss. Jennifer, thanks for sharing Dawn with us! YOU ROCK! LUV
This is one of the most creative and unique ways to use Copic markers that I've seen. We LOVE this technique. Dawn is amazingly talented and a big THANKS to Jennifer for sharing this with us!
I've been following Dawn's channel for some time and everything she does is truly perfection! This is such a cool technique and I have to get the inks to give it a go with my Copics! I love that she gives us so many different looks that we can re-create! Thanks Dawn and thanks Jennifer for hosting her.
I really like the guest artist on this you tube video. She took time to really show you how to use the coptic markers to up your coloring technique. She was great thanks Jennifer.
This is super awesome card and the technique is super awesome. Thank you Dawn and Jennifer. I wish if I could get the card that as been made in this video, it would be a priceless possession...
Love this technique! I love my Copics but sometimes don't have the patience to color entire images. I have another Wplus9 "building" stamp set, Pretty Peonies, and I'll try this with it and Hero Arts shadow inks. Thank you for sharing your talent, and I'll definitely check out your channel. And thanks to Jennifer, too!
Love love love this...these cards are so beautiful. Its looks so easy with those stamps and I have seen Dawn's channel and her cards are so awesome as well. Thank you for sharing this idea.
Loved this Jen! Dawn is incredible! I'm a subbie to her channel and am always in awe of her projects. I always leave her projects thinking "mannnnn whod've thought!!" ROFL
I'm in awe. I love the technique and can't wait to try using Copics over inks. I received the set of Simon Says inks for Christmas so I'll try with those but love that purple color you used - have to order that.
Love it! Can you show us how you would take this stamp set even a step further by using Prima Colored Pencils along with this technique? Thanks! I love my Copics, but I would like to know how to use my pencils along with my Copics.
Love this technique!! I am amazed that you can use Copic Markers with these inks! Does the ink get on your markers? Is it something you have to clean off of your marker after doing this technique. Are the inks alcohol based? Sorry for so many questions, but I want to try this. It is so awesome! Thank you so much for sharing it with us.
Just signed in to Dawns channel! I love the real look on the flowers, are the stamp pads used alcohol based? I have Stampin' Up stamp pads and copic. probably wouldn't mix???
Absolutely gorgeous! I love all 3 of them for sure but will doing this have any effect on your Copic marker? I love the result that you get but I just don't want to ruin my markers by trying to get the results. Has anyone tested the Copics with these inks? At first I was freaking out for her LMBO but man they are beautiful and makes it look so super easy too! You guys have such amazing talent! TFS Dawn!
Oh sorry Jennifer I hadn't gotten the chance to check out your blog just yet...(as I think mentioned to you before I'm not much of a blog person so I don't always have the memory to look :) or maybe I was still trying to catch my breath from these stunning cards. But I would really like to know because these are so beautiful so now I have the itch to try them lol. Thx :D
I've done this many times for a while now with all of my Copics and these particular inks and have not had any problems. Wplus9, Simon Says Stamp and Hero Arts inks will all work for this. I have also used the Blender Solution to create cool backgrounds with these inks similarly to the way you would use water with Distress Inks. *If* I ran I to any issues though, I always have a spare pack of nibs on hand to replace any damaged ones. But have never had to replace any yet. 😀
Dawn thank you so much for responding to me. I really love your work, I watch your videos all of the time on TH-cam and think you are fabulous! I will definitely have to give this a try! I am really excited for this lol :)
These inks actually work very similarly to Copics so they are perfect for using together for these types of techniques. However, when coloring lined images, I use Memento. 😀
I am not a copic colorist. I don't own one marker. After seeing this, I'm considering it. I am wondering if Dawn has the names/numbers of the markers for each of the Wplus9 ink pads. If so, could you guide me where to find such list?
Thank you Jennifer for having such a lovely artist as a guest to demonstrate her technique for painting roses and leaves. It was a lot of fun to watch and I appreciate seeing it. Your such a generous person and a great teacher. Thank you again I enjoyed it

As usual Dawn, AWESOME. I could watch you color everyday.

Stunning! How is it you can use Copics with those inks? I thought Memento & MFT Hybrid inks were the only Copic friendly???
Traci Lord these inks bleed with copics which is normally not good for coloring. but for this technique it is good!
These inks actually work very similarly to Copics so they are perfect for using together for these types of techniques. However, when coloring lined images, I use Memento. 😀
Wplus9 Design thank you, I didn't want to ruin my Copics. ;0)
Jennifer McGuire Ink Thank you, I didn't want to ruin my Copics. ;0)

I am not a copic colorist. I don't own one marker. After seeing this, I'm considering it. I am wondering if Dawn has the names/numbers of the markers for each of the Wplus9 ink pads. If so, could you guide me where to find such list?
Traci Rancier i will ask her
I don't have a list at the moment, but it is something that I can work on putting together.
