    Do you know where I could find information on how far to place plants from a grow light based on their lighting needs? Like low , medium and high light plants with a basic guide on how many inches/feet they should be from the bulb. I've got 2 old version 15 watt bulbs, 2 upgraded 15 watt bulbs and a 24 watt bulb from sansi and I'm trying to figure out my winter set up.

    Yesterday I order this on amazon.
    I want to be able to use the grow light for my funky seedlings. And my house plants.

    Lets say I have a plant that is 5 ft, and the light hangs 12 inches above the plant -- since there is more distance between the lower half of the plant and the light, would the light still be effective to the plant since the top half is lit? How necessary is it for the light to be in contact with the deepest part of the stems if the plant is that big?
    Sorry so many words...this is the best I could do 😖😌

      This is why it’s necessary to prune the bottom part of plants no matter what light you have. Leaves that are in the dark steal energy from plants

    How close would the lights have to be to each other to get a fairly even par across the area? 12" apart?

      a12vguru the height would be more important than the separation.

    Would this light work for someone that want's to do seedlings? Mainly herbs, and strawberries. How big of an area will this provide adequate light to? or do you recommend something else? I would like to spend no more than $40 to try it out and see if this is something I want to do long term.

    All your videos on hydroponic are very interesting... Maybe a interesting idea would be something about nutrients.

    I'm surprised you got a higher center PAR reading on the new light vs the old one, when I tested them I got the opposite (I tested them at less than 10 inches away though, maybe that's why).

    Iam would like to supplement some lights for monstera. Hang around 24 to 30". May I know would you recommend Sansi 15w or the 36watt model would be more suitable ? Thanks a lot

    Hello there. I have a question: I live in Switzerland with a standard 230V output. I've read in a review that the newer model isn't capable with high Voltage and thus has a high chance of burning resp. melting when used with such but that the older model works fine with high Volts. Is that correct?

    • @GrowingAnswers
      @GrowingAnswers  5 ปีที่แล้ว

    It honestly kind of baffles me to see a "thumbs down" on majority of your videos and not find any negative comments or reason for people to give a "thumbs down". Honestly makes me feel like the only people who give a poor rating are those haters or those who have nothing better than to give bad rep. Good video as always, great little light for those who want to build a diy multi-light kit for low lighting plants. Not sure it would beat out a 4 tube led converted T5HO for output only because stacking those would add wattage up quickly. Keep on keeping on!

      15 or 20. With 4*4 tent, you should use 2 or 3 led high bay 150w.

    what do you consider a minimum for plant growth in terms of PPFD? I use 30W and 40W SANSI bulbs for all my tropical plants as my ambient light is low. I don't have a quantum meter but plants are usually in the 250 to 400 foot candle range, and they're growing nicely ( I use the Extech LED meter to measure)

    • @GrowingAnswers
      @GrowingAnswers  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Depends on the plant. Some plants can grow with just 2um, others need much more.
