Weird. So for me, I went to buy DLC in the store and it gave me this error. So I booted up the game and bought the DLC in-game and my card went through. The game was Rocksmith.
For some reason the WS-37 blah blah blah number is popping up when I'm buying stuff using my PayPal account. The even weirder part is I just bought something else using my paypal and everything was fine. Super confused and annoyed lol
i just got this and exiting the psn store worked, it seems to be an issue with reading your password, first try i put in the wrong PW then the right one next and it said it was wrong put a third wrong one in and got the error. the correct one worked after i came back in. i will mention that it could also be a card issue as mine has been paused a few times since the last purchase

Not sure if you already fix this but it happened the same to me. Just wait 24hours and try again to add your credit card. It works for me. I bought funds to my wallet because that error still going on.

Didn't work for me. I re-newed my PSPlus sub just two weeks ago and it worked fine but when I try to buy God of War Ragnarok I get "an error has occurred" or "Your card has expired", which it hasn't. Think I'll just go and pre-order Pokemon Scarlet since Sony don't want my money.

Turn off your system and turn it back on dont put it in rest mode power off then turn it back on and it should work just did for me
