    I love how she keeps putting the products on her neck and hands as well. Your neck and hands will show signs of aging more than your face! I see a lot of women with young moisturized looking faces and dried out hands and necks. Gotta show your hands, neck, and chest the same love. I make sure to use all my face products on these areas as well and it makes a big difference.

    So much negativity... Yes, most of us can’t afford these exact products but take some of the routine tips/ steps on board and find products in the range you are comfortable with. The woman is 44 and looks as if she is in her late 20s.
    Besides what did you expect? The editor of Allure to use cosmetics worth a “tenner”...?

      Yeah honestly props to her. I'm sure she has worked really hard to get wear she is, the EIC of a BEAUTY magazine. So why not splurge on some beauty and skincare products. Viewers can also find less expensive versions of her products. Instead of getting Drunk Elephant which is crazy over priced, just find another vitamin C serum and it'll have pretty much the same effect.

    Even though all I use is coconut oil to cleanse and almond oil to moisturise, followed by suncream [day] or retinol [night] I still adore watching other people's convoluted skincare routines. Her skin is gorgeous. These routines also give us much needed soothing me time......and we deserve it.

    I mean it's easy for you to have access to all these products, dear beauty editor. Companies send all these products to your office with the expectation that they'll be used, photographed and promoted. After, someone's going to need to take them home and put them to use so of course the beauty editor would take the most high end and luxurious products to use as her 'every day routine'. This is far from the standard of the general population or even your readership. I mean my $25 face moisturizer from Lush was considered a splurge.

      Ah, what's so special about you that you can say it's " just snails"?
      I suppose if you were to have the ability to secrete some kind of moisturizing mucin & was exploited for it, you'd be fine with them saying, "It's alright. It's just a dumb TH-cam commentator, right?"

    My dermatologist doesn't recommend to apply hyaluronic acid and vitamin C serums in the morning. They can make your skin sensitive and then make it prone to sun damage (irritation, sunburn...)...I feel that someone in the beauty industry should at least know that...

    • @listlessreader4386
      @listlessreader4386 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Lmao, but vitamin c serum literally protects your skin from sun damage.

    • @laurenburger1915
      @laurenburger1915 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      it actually boosts the effect of sunscreen but you are right, vitamins makes skin photosensitive therefore they shouldn't be used without sun protection

  • @ashrmks
    @ashrmks 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    She is blessed with beautiful skin (GENETICS) and meticulously upkeeps it BUT I think that eventually all these expensive fragrance loaded products will create problems down the line (but she has tons of money and resources to combat that, of course) rather than applying all these fancy goops and snail serums, she should focus more on sun protection at a higher SPF and mineral based (save the reefs!!) especially since she has such a large platform (>1.2M!!!!) on TH-cam to spread that information. I'm happy she enjoys her routine.. massaging, aromatherapy etc and her voice is so soothing but don't let it distract you!!! SPF for the win!!!!!

    But the amount of sunscreen she applied???? That was not even close to the 1/2 tsp recommended by the American Academy of Dermatology and so many others...of course there's no white cast if you're barely using any!!! dermatologists also say a lot of skin cancer occurs on ears, eyelids, and lips so they should never be neglected!!!

    This version of Allure is very frustrating to me. I used to read as a kid when Linda Wells was editor-in-chief, and say what you want about her but at least she didn't make it so obvious that the entire magazine was essentially one big advertisement. The last issue I read of Michelle's, there was such little engaging content for the reader and even her editor-in-chief letter was advertising for some type of face needling thing. Which I'm not saying is bad, but I'm so uninterested in this Allure.

    This is such a stupid level of privilege that we're being conditioned to think is the norm thanks to content like this. It's honestly disconcerting how someone can so casually spend hundreds of dollars on finite products, little tubs of creams and oils that probably do next to nothing and are only made so people can feel "in control" of their image.

      Yara Hasan In reality, it will be longer
      -When you wake up. Of course you still a bit sleepy so... you stay in bed a couple of minutes then....
      - go to the bathroom, you pee... then, wash hour hands then, wash your face, gargle with water then....
      - go to the kitchen, picking what food you’ll eat for your breakfast. Then, you’ll cook it. Then, after how many minutes. You’ll eat. Then, you’ll clean all your plates then....
      - Preparing your clothes to wear... then...
      - Going back to the bathroom, brush your teeth, then... take a bath... then...
      - That’s when you’ll start doing your skin routine.. for how long... 15-20 mins?
      - Then, you’ll do your make up (if you’re a girl) that’s time consuming... then....
      - Putting on your outfit for the day
      - Then, go to work.
      So, in order to do this.. you need to wake up at 4am. Unless you only have few skincare products unlike this one. 😂
      🤣🤣🤣🤣
