Disneyland Parades Out of Character acts and Bloopers 1980s and 1990s

- A compilation of video bloopers and just general out of character fun stuff taken at the Magic Kingdom in the late 80s and early 90s. Includes parades, shows and a few added extras. Some of these actions are not typical for characters: bear hitting a parade watcher on the head with a fake cotton candy, another character saving a little girl from getting too close to parade floats, another character deliberately backing into the crowd who respond by tugging his shirt and spanking a few times. Bloopers include one blue suited performer getting into the wrong line, King Louie losing his balance with a face plant into a chipmunk's lap, and a few dropped props. Nothing beyond PG implied. Just good fun and a few human errors (even when they don't quite look human). Most of these edits were done with a VHS camera and a VCR decades ago.

For those of you who don't know, Arthur was a developmentally disabled old man who was the mascot of the parade and character department. He was beloved by all of us and other departments as well. He'd sit of the curb and wave at all of us and we'd all make a point to go up to him or wave. He was around for years and years. He had his own nametag...if I rembmer correctly someone would drive him home at the end of the day.
Always the toothy grin and bent arthritic fingers waving...
When he passed away, we took it pretty hard. Seeing his face again had brought back a flood of memories...

I loved when Baloo lifted the kid out of the way of the parade - lol.
I've seen Aladdin and a bunch of little kids running around with their arms out, pretending they were flying magic carpets. I thought it was cute. :)
@lolphat Thank you for the kind words on both this and the parade video. Yes, even us then-groupies loved Arthur too. I took off a work day to attend his funeral when he passed - he was family to everyone at Disneyland! He may have had the age/look of an elderly gentleman, but he had the heart and mind of a child and a beautiful soul to match. BTW, noted ur comment about being in the very Merry Christmas parade on the other video. Would u like the entire unedited version, of course free of charge. Private msg me. ;)

Trivia: the cast member in the Baloo outfit from that shot is the same guy who did the out-of-character "Y.M.C.A."

Cute comment. Actually, the business men with matching suits and briefcases was "borrowed" from Pasadena's annual Doo-Dah Parade.
