I remember Tommy Alvin’s debut game. I’m telling you Pomcotta needs to never have a haircut again

One of the reasons I was giggling like an idiot almost the entire game was every time Kemp took a mark I knew the entire Blue Abroad community was thinking the same thing I was: Kemp's just doing the same thing he does as a defender only it works much better at this end. See? We should have traded Harry two years ago instead of just this year, think how great Kemp would be as the star tall by now. Now that we're going to trade Charlie as well he has a shot. (Oh, hell no, not ready to let it go at all.) Funny how Weitering plays when he decides to trust his tall co-pilot. McGovern needs a little talking to about abandoning his man and trying to get someone who is already guarding two guys to come cover his @$$. Not good, did it more than once, and it's kind of a pattern now. Cowan just did his thing and kept doing it without being distracted or pulled away. Too many times we see him have to go cover for someone else's mistake than gets burned by the man he left. Ollie already spends time filling in at half back or deeper just because Voss's defensive strategy requires him and Acres to get back there to cover for defenders being too far up the field for too long (and they aren't sprinters, FFS). No surprise to me at all how well he did. So rotating between wing and halfback would be ideal if that can be managed. Carrol had his best game, or at least equal best, for the club in my view. Made the right play plenty of times, right in the middle of possession chains, standing up to tackles like a champ so he can hand the ball off. Really solid in a way I haven't seen him so far. Zac Williams's performance is why Owies is on the trading block (allegedly). I'd rather keep both as they genuinely can compliment each other's game, but Austin is probably being told to trade him for Usain Bolt's Australian cousin who's training to be a midfielder. How many people wanted Kennedy dropped all year? FFS. How many games was Hewett dropped or made sub? FFS.

@@LouHall5 It's a joke. Last year all the "experts" and an awful lot of fans were saying we should trade Harry when he had the yips, totally ignoring everything else he does. Best tackling key forward in the game, high ranking score involvement, forward pressure and up the wing, providing the big target to help our glacially slow ball movement out of the defensive end, back-up ruck duties. No other key forward was doing as much around the ground as Harry, certainly no Coleman medalist. Hello, Tom Hawkins only really started becoming a goal assist and chop-out ruck once Jeremy Cameron showed up. But no, nobody gave a sh!te, trade Harry, he's hurting the team, never getting his head straight, etc. Obviously a lot of BS as he's been sensational much of this year, including having a fantastic first few games. And I'm not letting it go. I've had a running gag all season about how we listened to the "experts" and genius fans and traded him, remdining those who wanted it how dumb that idea was. We could have used somebody who kicked three goals, 4 tackles, consecutive 10 ratings early on, but no we traded Harry so ignore the great contribution he made this week, you don't deserve it. Hence the parenthetical after that saying no, I'm not ready to let it go. This season, when Charlie has a had a couple down games and doesn't tackle and everyone moans he doesn't do anything else, I joke that of course we should trade him as well. Listening to the @#$%ing "experts" and league chatter has screwed a few things up for the team this year, and thank goodness we didn't listen to all the calls to trade Harry.

@@Equality-7-2521 mate I thought you were saying trade Harry.

@@LouHall5 Sorry for the confusion, I can see how that looks if you don't know the context of the long-running gag. I would never want to trade Harry and still get annoyed over how many people were tossing him on the scrapheap last year. I'm genuinely expecting some geniuses to claim this win proves we don't need both Harry and Charlie on the team as they get in each other's way and never do anything if they're not kicking bags, etc. Some are already waving Kemp's 4 tackles in everyone's faces and babbling about how he and Kennedy are much smarter than the other two and know how to share the ground. Madness, and deserves to be mocked.
