What I really love about your channel is that you do have discontinued products. This reflects reality because we all have discontinued products in our make up collections. You're not a salesman like many others who discard discontinued or affordable products. I have 5 Essence eyeshadow palettes, with Very Berry being my favourite.
I was able to swatch lisa Eldridge vega palette the other day, the formula was so nice. First gal on Jupiter is 20% off, the struggle of when you want both palettes but should only get one 😂I wish the Essence 6 pan taupe palette came to the EU
I want that Lisa Eldridge palette. I have noticed if someone is wearing an eyeshadow look that’s stunning, I look in the description box in the _what’s on my face today_ and it’s almost always that palette. So many times.
Hi Maaike I have a few of these, but the Diamond lavender is my favourite. Runner up is the taupe version of the Essence six pans (my sister brought from the USA). Best wishes x
@@FloatinginDreams I think as you have the Viseart lilas quad you are fine without it. They are very similar and you don’t want more mattes anyway. Add a light shimmer from elsewhere when using the lilas quad and you have basically the same thing (the Viseart is a better formula anyway). I doubt with the extended palettes you have you need it tbh and probably wouldn’t use it very often. The essence version is a bit lighter than the lilas but you’re not as pale as I am so I doubt you feel that it’s a bit dark like I do. See there you go no FOMO needed 😂😂😂.
I had an Essence palette Like to mauve it mauve it. One eyeshadow is very nice. It's mauve lavender sparkle eyeshadow. I don't remember the name, because I removed only this eyeshadow from the palette and I'm keeping only it. The rest was not so pretty or necessary.
Their eyeshadows turn mudy on my oily eyelids ! Some of their collection have better colour story and quality . But for people who don't love stark eyeshadows i think these are perfect for everyday use.
Maybe yes they don't want to go against the hype so the people still stick around, the younger generation (people my age) doesn't wear that much eyeshadows
If there are two brands that very much play into hype and trends it's Essence & Catrice. Why else would they do regular limited editions and discontinue pretty much their entire line every 6 months.

I recently got the Catrice Jungle book eyeshadow palettes for an insane price on Lyko - and I am super impressed by the quality of those.
I tried several of the Disney collabs and never loved the quality so I gave up on them after a few times.

I liked the Dancing Green better for that reason. The Mauve it Mauve it was nice in theory but wasn't the best one they have ever done.

Do you use a primer that has a color to it that helps shadows stick? It can be why it turns out muddy.
@@FloatinginDreams yes my eyeshadow primer is tinted ! I never thought this would be a problem!
If the color of the primer messes with your shadows or if it isn't right for your oily skinnm that may be why your shades end up looking muddy.
