Hi Andy, this is very beautiful place for strolling. Love that wonderful market and this fabulous port, those boats make such beautiful views. Thank you for wonderful sharing 😍❤️👍👍And wishing you a blessed day, greeting from Color&Shawn 🤗🤗
Hi Andy, a good around the market, loved seeing the sea, it was clear and the boats bobbing up and down, loved the bird, so pretty. A lovely view of the harbour from the restaurant and the food looked really good. The buildings were nice to wander around x Julie and Tony x
Looks a lovely place to explore and the harbour looks fabulous. That market looks you could bag a bargain and great capture of the bird in action. I used to go to Mallorca every year but never been to this side of the island. Thanks for showing me a part I've never been 🙂
Thanks for watching, we have been to Cala dOr before which is also nice but very busy. I do want to try Port de Soller on the west coast, but we'd give Palma Nova and Magaluf a miss.
@@OutandaboutwithAndy I used to go every October for the running weekend and stayed in Can Pastilla. I've took the day trip from Palma via the railway to Port ds Soller a couple of times. Well worth the trip on the train if you get the chance
Thanks Watto, it was a nice place to visit, I'd have liked to have walked around the other side of the bay too, but the heat got us in the end. A good excuse for a return trip if ever there was one. I hope your knee is better after your off-road excursion.
Thanks, Jill. Portocolom was a place I fancied visiting when we drove through a few years ago on the transfer bus. The tapas was great. However, I left the shrimps, and the baby squid to my other half.
Always enjoy a marked when we are on holiday and to be honest never heard of Portocolom before but it did look very nice and quote quiet too. Unusually anything over 22C and I start to melt, which is why we always used to go abroad on May, just hoping it will not be be too hot in September when we go this year. That looked a very good days visit there, cheers Alan
Thanks, Alan. I only knew about it from our holiday to Cala D'Or, and our coach went through it. September can still be quite warm. We went to Torremolinos last year, late September, and it was as warm as Fuerteventura had been in August.
Well now, the market for sure is a must...must say that sounded like a lot of food...love a hearty appetite especially when the food is tasty for sure, and after a hard day touring around, what's better?! lol Bruce and Otis
Thanks for watching Bruce. I hope the flooding in Nova Scotia has subsided. We had a great wander round Portocolom that day, but it was a bit on the warm side.
A lovely explore around the market in Portocolom. Such a beautiful day and nice to enjoy. Ohh the beaches are just so stunning, nice to see, you've filmed it beautifully! Your tapas looked amazing, well priced considering! Great video, thanks for sharing! 🌟
Thanks for watching. We had a great day out. Portocolom has many facets to it. We only managed to get around 50% of it as the bay sweeps around to where the lighthouse stands.
Thanks for joining the premiere, Yasmin. The huge lens on the bridge camera is great for getting close-up footage from a distance. Portocolom is a lovely place, I think we only got to see about half of it, sounds like an excuse to go back...
Thanks Nick, it's not always easy doing video. The Mrs tolerates it, but doesn't really like being on camera, that said she always seems to wander into my shot 😀 Hoopoes are one of favourite birds, such unusual markings, and the have a crest which they show off when they get excited.
Thanks for watching Cara, it's a pretty place. We spotted a couple of Hoopoes flying around, but there were at least half a dozen of them in the wooded area next to the beach. Capturing photos of them when we are away is always my holiday challenge 😀
That market looked amazing! Were the deals any good? It reminds me of how Americans used to go to Mexico for the deals, before it became too dangerous. 30 degrees...you might not be used to it but I assume that's one reason why you holiday there, to get away from the cooler UK weather. Could be worse, you could be melting in Greece, literally. Great video Andrew and a nice look around!
Hi Paul, I can't say I paid too much attention to the market, I was conscious our cases were close to the weight limit going out already, it didn't stop the Mrs, though. 30 degrees Celsius was enough for us, we're so glad not to be there right now. Thanks for watching, and I hope you are well and enjoying your new home.
Diane, we only spent a day there, but we did find a few bars and restaurants around the harbour area. We didn't have time to explore the north side of the bay, but I guess it figures there will be more there, too.

Andy enjoyed this one. Great market and really nice views of the port. Lunch looked good and the footage of the birds was lovely. Great share mate. 👍🏻

Looks a great place the birding was a bonus for sure nice one Andy
Thanks John, we also spotted green finches and a few other local species but the hoopoes were the ones that stood out the most.

@@OutandaboutwithAndy wow, ive never come across them before, they are very special aren’t they? 👍
@GENerationXplorers they're pretty cool, one turned up in County Durham earlier this year.

I've only seen that side of the island when we hired a car. We totally missed this port which looks lovely. Nice one.
Thanks for watching Keith, I only discovered it on a transfer coach when we stayed at another resort and we were picking folk up there.
I'd love to join you but I'll be out for dinner at this time. Will watch later. Have a great time at the premier.🇳🇱🙋♀🇳🇿🍹
No problem Anita, I hope you enjoy it when you watch it later.
Looks like it was definitely worth the visit Andy. I enjoyed this. Warm wishes from Millionaire Paul :)

sweet... you kept in the stroll-by of the bras and knickers stall. Some guys might be embarrassed and edit that out
