I actually have one of these bats, and a bbcor. These cheap wooden bats can teach you a TON about your swing unlike most metal bats. If you hit it in the wrong spot, it will shatter into pieces, or your hand will feel that for the next week.

It more than likely has windows prepared for baseball strikes and the luxury housing is marketed toward baseball lovers with pricing starting at 3000(monthly rent).

The crack of the bat is a satisfying sound. The way the ball arcs and disappears on the second swing is impressive, big forces at play on a small scale. As a kid, I always loved the sensation of smacking the snot out of the ball, and watching it fly. In the 1980s we had softball as part of the school sports curriculum here in New Zealand. The ball was about a 1/4 larger than a baseball, but seamed and stitched the same way. I enjoyed playing baseball way more, because of the small ball size. The larger ball used in softball would catch too much resistance through the air because of its size.
The hotel was made to cater to baseball lovers and for this Park selling rooms at 3gs a night the windows n stuff must all be made of impact glass... 🙏🏼💯

the price is set on the consistency of the model performing well for all bats given that model,,,you can find good wood and grain in cheaper bats but you have to know what to look for.... so yes price does matter if you want the bat company to choose for you
People who didn't plan very well. On the other side of that building is a 4-lane bridge that crosses the Savannah River into Augusta. When I say the other side, I mean about 75' on the other side.
Not a hotel. It's mixed commercial/residential apartments, and I believe it also serves as the team's clubhouse. The 4th floor is offices. Every room has a view of the park, and the corner rooms have a view of the Savanna River. It's designed to take hits from baseballs. The balcony even has a net to help stop any balls.

the problem with ash bats isn't that you can't make quality contact with them it's that they break easily. you'll go through a few of them and end up spending the same amount as if you just bought a more expensive/higher quality of wood bat.
That's the reverse of true. It's maple bats that explode. Ash had been the MLB standard bat for over 100 years before maple became popular in the 90s to today. Maple has greater pop but is more fragile than ash.
I use these and they’re great as long as you pick one with the widest grains possible, it’ll last at least a season of you’re not getting jammed and hitting off the end all the time. The ones with lots of grains tight together are total garbage.
price is just what people are willing to pay, to get something the more people value cheaper bats the more they will cost, ty for hurting all the people short on cash ;)
