    What is it about gun ranges and mountain bike trails!? Around here in Missouri there are so many! I don't even notice it anymore until I take a new person riding and they get nervous when they hear gun shots.... I'm like oh no it's fine there's just a gun range over there 😂

    • @XCBen
      @XCBen  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hahaha, I didn't know it was a thing. Surprising enough there is a gun range at our south Florida trails in a park. I guess it's just the place to do it and scare the piss out of people lol. We also have a levee gravel road that runs next to the park and around the Everglades. When you pass by the gun range it says, "Watch for stray bullets!" Like yea, I can totally dodge one of those lol! Thanks for watching!

    Great video. Funny how you grunt in some of the same sections I do. The vocalizing of grunts makes a viewer feel the riide! Ha!

    I vote for the running commentary, I like seeing what the trail triggers in your commentary as you ride.

    Great job brother! Thanks as always. Area 51 and Rabbit Hole would be cool. Las Olas would be cool. I liked your video from last year, but breaking it up into individual trails would be helpful. Maybe add a map to your videos with a pointer where you are at on the map through each video, so viewers can track your progress through each trail.

    • @XCBen
      @XCBen  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea! That's what I am getting footage of tomorrow! Cool! I was thinking about the map thing. Just so much work but I guess I can do that on an actual full trail video. thanks for watching and Happy 4th!

    Didn’t do the step down 😑. One of my favorite features.
    Your full loop Markham video is how I learned to ride the park. Had only been there 2x before and kept doing the same trails over and over due to getting lost. Found your video, downloaded it and used it to learn my way around lol.

    • @XCBen
      @XCBen  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      NO way! That's awesome! I was wondering if anyone would ever do that. Did it help a lot? NIce man! I do the step down a bunch but didn't do it on this video. I should have . Just like I should have done the log skinny and started the ride with dropping down the new drop lol.

    • @XCBen

    • @DiegoLopez-oi8gt
      @DiegoLopez-oi8gt 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      XC Ben It absolutely helped. I had just started riding bikes and had done the park once with a friend guiding me so I knew there were cool trails out there. Just couldn’t find the damn things on my own and I didn’t know anyone else who rode at the time lol.
      Found your video, subscribed to TH-cam red so I could download it and stopped at the end of each trail to watch your directions. That’s how I learned to do a proper loop lol. So ty!

      Benduro appreciate the response. What do you consider the best solution strictly for down here in south FL? Hard tail, short travel 29, etc? I see so many people with practically downhill bikes... so heavy

    • @XCBen
      @XCBen  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@carlosdehostos1188 yes for sure man. I got your answer for ya. Well at least it's my opinion, which comes from experience with XC bikes and enduro style bikes. First it depends on your weight. If you are a heavy set guy you'll want a much beefier bike as you want big suspension. In that case go for 130 to 140mm travel bike. If you are not I'd say a 120mm travel bike is really all you need. It's not XC and it's not enduro. You can still take it into the mountains on the small scale. But if you plan on going out to the mountains often then a 130 to 140mm travel bike is what you'd want. I have a 29er and love it. I am also 5'6 and only weight 150 lbs. A taller, bigger person might mike the 27.5 more. Not sure. Never got a 27.5.
      Also, I respond to all comments. I am not getting many comments all the time. Mostly when I just release a video. Congrats! You just got my longest response ever! Haha
