For all you people who are not understanding why they are so uncomfortable in talking about this? It's because if you grew up in the 90s you'd know that these 3 missy, tim, and aaliyah were the dynamic trio. They consistently produced music together, meaning they worked together for hours, days, months, in a studio creating memories. Imagine being every waking minute with someone you love and then they die. Like they said she was like a sister, and if you're human you'd know it's not easy.

I like the way they responded to the questions. Very mutual and not defensive at all, you can tell they both really truly love and care about Aaliyah. Before anyone touches her music her family should be contacted like Missy said there is no time limit on her family's mourning so they might not be ready for that yet. I mean if its hard for timberland to even listen to her music still after all these years imagine how her family feels.

They kinda don't have a issue with Drake doing a song to Aaliyah Unfinished songs, but for them they wouldn't want to do any records to her unfinished songs without her parents and families permission. Also on top of that Timbaland said he would have a hard time doing songs to her unfinished work and music because of her being gone.

He was shady to even go behind the backs of the people who worked with her. He was wrong. He never even asked permission from the people who knew her well. He literally tried to make money off her for his own gain. Drake had an eerie obsession with her.

If they really cared so much about her, why haven't THEY done this in all this time? Now that Drake wants to make one, all of a sudden now they want him to reach out to them? Why don't THEY reach out to him?! That's like saying every MJ album from here on should have the Jackson 5 cuz they're his bros foh!

Eminem knows Dre, Dre knew Pac. It was approved. Drake has no connection what so ever to Aaliyah.

At the end of the day Timb and Missy have the right to feel the way they do on the issue of her music being pit out there without their involvement. She just wasn't someone they did music with, they consider her family. People who really respect the rather of someone would act the way they are and Drake clearly is acting solely from a fans perspective which is fine but he can't just take things this sensitive in his own hands and run with it based on just those feelings.

I understand how Missy feels about Drake releasing the album without Aaliyah's family condoning it, since it may be considered disrespectful. I also understand why Missy didn't wanna hear the Drake & Aaliyah tracc since she doesn't even know Drake. But Timbaland being really flaky like that towards Drake, especially after asking Drake to be on his album for the single, "Say Something," and also even making a music video with Drake to promote his album, is just wrong. Idk, ijs... SMH.

Exactly. Tim already knew Drake and he knew that Drake was paying homage but Missy wasn’t really feeling that and I respect it but why not honer Aaliyah? If you love her so much why not

I really really understand them not wanting to talk about it. There was ALOT going on back then. I also think they did not appreciate it because, even if the song turned out to be great, he didnt include them plus her family and berry hankerson (her uncle) had her rights and did alot of effed up stuff too. R kelly fucked up with this fam more than once so aaliyahs parents got alot of the copyrights during his career... there are SO many factors to this Story why everybody is hushing right now. Too many....

I totally agree with Missy & Tim although I'm not a Drake fan, & I'm not a fan of what he did as far as using his collaboration to diss Chris Brown, but I blame Berry & Jomo for giving him that access, Blackhround is going under, & they are using Aaliyah to get some hype to bring it back!

This is crazy be timb has a song and video called say something...I don't think it's weird he's has an tat of her a lot of ppl show love in different ways. Yes it's true he's an artist but he's also human as missy says soooo...Drake is really talented and with with permission from the fam I think all three of them could actually put out some really great stuff...

In addition, Drake isn't doing this for profits; he's expressed time and again a genuine love and affection for Aaliyah, going as far to get a tattoo of her. You don't do shit like that unless you actually have real feelings for somebody. You should be happy he's even keeping her name out there, cuz it ain't like you was talkin' about Aaliyah or playin' her records on repeat before Drake made the song.....

i understand what they are saying. Its out of respect for her family and i dont' know if drake knew that maybe the unfinish songs that aaliyah did.Maybe they weren't suppose to be out and its like you can't ask her cause she passed away. But if i was drake and i wanted to do a song using aaliyah i would have ask her family and close friends cause it's a touching situation especially for timbaland and missy they love her.Drake should have keep in contact don't jump and make it

i dont understand why everyone is getting so angry for about this whole thing. Why cant we just appreciate what drake is trying to do. He just trying to show some love for someone whom he looked up too. And if he does have tattoo of her so what we all have that one person we looked up to. Just like people got the Jordan tattoo and more than 90% dont know him. Its just someone who played a roll in our life when we were little. Drake loved music so she was his jordan.

First of all, they're not mad. They just saying they dnt know whats going on and even if he was going to make an album or a song still he has to ask her family how they feel about it. She's been heard and her songs still play's on the radio and in movie's. So they're not hating nor they dnt say they own her. we don't know what she wanted on her music and career. so let them mourn b/c we don't KNOW her like her family and friends do.
