I run into a lot more cheaters when I play really late at night on the West Coast. I usually notice when they can't do basic stuff right but then are hitting insane parries and converting some really difficult combos, but can't handle basic situations like jumping a fireball. If you can sus out what the script is responding to then you can cheese them out by triggering it on purpose. I didn't know we could report them to Steam with the replays. Honestly? Most cheaters are people who were invested but peaked at some point and wanted to get further. Every speedrunner I've heard of who cheated started out just playing but eventually started cheating to avoid not plateauing. It's not likely that they went into it cheating from the get go, they got as far as they could with the work they were willing to put in, then decided they deserved to be higher and got assistance. They all say the same things if you call them out, all the speed running cheaters did, stuff like "oh I know I can do it I just didn't want to waste time" or whatever cope they can give.
I've fought a handful of cheaters now, and I think the super easy tell is if you try to DI while in burnout, their scripts will always do it back to counter yours a frame or two after you. I've caught like 3 people trying that.
there a lot of tells, one if the throw tech, there are also impossible parries... but scripts are the weird one, they can also turn if off if you start fishing for cheating tells
@@watersports1381 They can turn it off AND in theory they can make it probabilistic. I'm waiting for the day smart cheaters arrive and the cheat engines introduce not only probabilistic activation (which I think exists) along with variabl delay when possible...then it'll be super hard to tell. Imagine they DI you suspiciously well, but only 75% of the time and it's off by a handful of frames every time and not in a clear pattern, how are you gonna detect that?
@@xravenx24fe People have been trying this kind of thing in chess all the time and in that game you only have like 30 different inputs per game to analyze and yet people can still identify cheaters. The main way people identify them is not by looking at the suspicious cheated behavior, but to look at the non-suspicious regular behavior that occurs between the suspicious behavior. The problem cheaters will always have is that they have a knowledge gap in how the game should be played without cheats so they will always inhibit some weird behavior sprinkled amidst their "good" cheated play. So what often gives them away is that their "normal" play is extremely off and completely contrasts their cheated behavior. This means you would basically need to have the bot fully autopilot and play like a good player, and this would require a deep understanding on par with the top players. By the time you get to the point where you really can't figure out if someone is using cheats or not, the person piloting the cheats is very likely a good player with a good understanding of what needs to be done to win a match in order to properly mask the cheated behavior, and very few people with that skill would be using cheats in the first place. The reason why there are so many obvious cheaters is because they don't care about understanding the game, so even if they tried to hide it they would do a very poor job of it.
I fought this guy today in BH. Everyone in chat was calling him out and referencing the video. He was 1998 MR. I’m Plat 5 so I can’t comment if he’s cheating.
Seems like the best way to beat them is to make them activate the macros by hiding inputs in your light attacks. Plink 5LP to HK to make them DI and just punish every time
Exactly, tricking the mods is the best defense. I kinda want someone to make an anti-cheat that does something like this to combat the most common cheat mods.
"You're trying to cheat to get something that I think has no value, even if you earn it" DAMN that is GOOD. Multipurpose and cleanly worded, I'm stealing this!
I once waged a personal crusade against cheaters in an online game. It was back in the days when there was no default video capture software from Nvidia, so I used Fraps to film the cheaters and then sent it all to the administration team - every short video I shot was taking up way too much space and needed to be reduced in size. I got nothing out of the endeavor except for a fuzzy feeling. Yeah, I hate cheaters.
I just played a cheater who was auto countering fireballs, frame accurate, every single time even when i was being random. So dirty feeling when you realize some pervert is doing this to you
it baffles me every time i encounter or hear about a cheater in one of these games. like, i know their whole thing is ruining the game for other people to get some sort of high from it or whatever, but all it does is demonstrate a severe lack of skill on their part that they don't even trust themselves enough to win a single match without some sort of cheats enabled. online ranking means nothing unless you can back it up online, so what's their endgoal other than ruining the experience for everyone else?
I actually ran into a cheater not too long ago as well. And much like you I didn't notice until after the match...es . Cus I ran into him three times and only after the third one did it click. I was playing Ed, he wasn't parrying or Impacting Snatcher, so I kept trying to run Strike throw off of snatcher. He teched EVERY throw and never got hit by my lows or frametraps, was teabagging a whole bunch, in general being quite the piece of work. As I ran into him the third time it finally dawned on me "Oh of course, I'm dumb, he's delay teching". Do another snatcher mixup and try to throw just to confirm that he was, in fact, still teching. Next mixup I backdash to catch his tech and... nothing. No button no throw, nothing. That's where I got suspicious, looked at the replays and low and behold, boy was running an auto-throw tech thingie cus he always teched the same frame I commited to the throw. I was so salty afterwards.
the biggest issue is some people are new to fighting games and will never clock on to people likes this and think they are not making progress!! waste of everyone's time. cheating gets no one any where
Holy shit I remember playing this dude when akuma came out in ranked! This guy was playing super cracked and I was blown away when I saw his hours played in the game. Knew something was fishy about this dude
Bro wait I played this guy and swore he was a cheater too! TY diaphone for validating my theory lmao. This video is great im only around 1600, but I went through the same thing like a week ago lol.
Well, now I suspect I too might have encountered cheaters cause I’ve seen that kind of unbelievably quick reaction to a heavy normal in neutral one too many times by now… I thought maybe they were just getting lucky but now I’m not so sure anymore
Just fyi, dont jump to conclusions without proper evidence. Watch the replays again, check their inputs: if their input for the punish is on the first frame of your input, and its consistently being done when that input is pressed, then they might be using scripts. But you really *need* to make sure and have proper evidence for it, otherwise its just empty accusations.
Another warning sign is if their account is brand new. I fought someone like this when Ed came out and I was so fucking confused because he never ever fell for a shimmy, never got thrown, never got hit by meaty jabs. Always DI'd moves that weren't cancelable, at one point did a walking level 3 to punish flicker without buffering despite me later trying to bait it out with whiffed buttons. Checked their account, brand new. Big red flag. I felt like fucking Batman watching the replays and noticing that he never delay'd teched, just suspiciously was correct on every throw interaction ever.
Some of the ppl i play in Plat be feeling like legit pros with the 1 frame reactions and constant perfect parrying any air attack or button I can't di out of
perfect parrying air attacks is a lot easier than it seems since the time the impact is coming is at a very similar part of the jump arc each time. It's easy to overrely on it due to it being easier than using a real antiair + working crossup as well. If someone is parrying all your jump ins, throw in some empty jumps and throw them when you get on the ground, if nothing hits the parry they cant recover in time to do anything about it, good chunk of damage and get that oki after.
Thank god for local and offline tournaments in the FGC. All other competitive eSports like Counter-Strike don't do LAN unless it's like a super major, which means if you are not on those tier-1 teams then you will never play LAN in a serious level unless it's super casual like with friends.
Not the Slovakian flag 😭 no way this fella repping the CZSK scene, this is just fucking sad. Also, Capcom better get on that game review and ban streak, obvious cheating like this really should be punishable fast.
He uses a Türkiye flag in his game against Mattock. I think the CZSK scene can rest peacefully knowing he's not one of yours. (Plus he had 76ms against Mattock which wouldn't be possible if he were in Slovakia)
I saw knee fighting a cheater the lther day, autoparry, autoescape throws and so on. The worse part that the cheater was tekken highest rank and still was not banned.
I've seen and fought this guy at Battle Hub a bunch of times. Before Akuma he used to play Modern Ken. He continuously change his name and chages clubs. He's a known cheater. I really don't know why this dude isn't banned.
The perfect parry being 5 frames every time is pretty funny and sus as can be. If he was actually tapping the parry himself on each hit he would be ready to punish when he got a perfect parry, but he's clearly not xD. Also, if you notice, the cheater basically never blocks low. he is almost always standing and just expects his parry script to catch lows. I think BrianF showed this off originally explaining how it worked, it's a slider they can adjust for just about anything from throw tech to parry to di, from no assistance to cracked out instant reaction assistance. Also I have come across a few massively sus high plat players like this, which makes sense as that's the rank you start getting exposed if you're a masher/flowcharter and you just can't edge your way into diamond. I love trolling with throws, you'll go like a whole round without them teching a single time. Then round over next round starts and they tech every throw every time, so you logically think "ok they're expecting throw now, i'll just start to shimmy max punish" but it never works cause they never tech when you shimmy. Then you watch the replay and the throw tech literally only comes out when you throw xD
theres one called SonicWolf also. hes in the 1800 range right now when he couldnt beat gold players a month ago. he is basically full bot mode now, only moving nothing else. people are saying there arent that many cheaters but the truth is there arent that many that are being so damn obvious. all you need is 1 or 2 pp or DI a round to win. with a 10 or 20% rate on the script most people will never know.
1:00 to be fair, I would. not every time but occasionally when somebody drive rushes across the screen I sometimes gamble them going for heavy attack and I preemptively counter with DI. It's risky but if you get an allusion what your opponent is going to do it pays more often that you would think.
I fought this same akuma in the hub, he beat me 5x and I realized half way through. He always hit me with DI during the start up of my 6H (I was also playing akuma), and he also perfect parried my dropped combos. In one of my replays I purposefully did 3 or more 6H in a row just to see him DI all of them in the first frame
Watching your video and then Broski......I think I'm going to switch to Modern controls lol. It seems as if these cheats struggle with M control inputs.
"losing to a 1430" meanwhile I am fighting for my fucking life in Dia 1 against Deejays, Bisons, Eds and Guiles though I am very happy where I am currently so fuck yeah
Since release ive only played like one cheater: had a juri with 30 minutes of ranked that could react with PP and OD reversal at 100% and countered just after the first frame of every single safe move and yet couldnt do a single basic strike/throw mixup and proper combos, where do these guys even come from man
Sorry you had to reveal your alt. You can hide Capcom IDs in the game options, but I'm not sure if that helps since you still have to look up the replay file on stream.
I wish Capcom was more vocal about cheaters. I suspect I had one last night. My opponent even plugged and when I went to look at their stats, 100% of their pie chart was ranked. That’s not to say it’s conclusive, but in over 1000 matches, I have never seen 100% ranked play time without any practice mode before.
I know this player, their in a local I go to. He said he’s using it while he’s adjusting to the DP motion but finds it hard to focus on it during his games when there’s so much to look out for. Like I get it, if your just using it casually while trying to look for a specific option but cheating online I didn’t realize he was this bad.
thats a stupid reason anyways, even giving them the benefit of the doubt and taking them at their word. You're just cheating yourself out of so much game sense and... for one thing how is this helping them get used to the dp motion? and also how is it that they still "need" to cheat to get used to a motion input with 1.5k hours in the game? at the end of the day really, all cheaters just want the satisfaction of winning without putting in any effort, and thats especially sad in a fighting game where player expression is like imo the big reason to play them in the first place
@@fuchsia8266 Nah if you want to play a game with cheats offline, I've got no qualms. @@fuchsia8266 It's not just can't do DP its that he can't react to the jump honestly. for whatever reason his hands will not react to feet leaving the ground with forward, down, down-forward. I’m a long time street fighter player from the 80’s. Moderate skill but I love the games. However when online play became a thing I quietly gave up on it cause of the cheaters I ran into. It is almost the sole reason why I don’t do ranked matches to this day.
I recently fought someone who perfectly DI'd every single one of my f.hk, and I'm sure it wasn't down to me being predictable. I've fought enough gold/plat ranks to know the difference between random DIs and frame perfect DIs vs a specific move
Ah, so this might explain why I had that one akuma beat my ass and then win quit on me. Well now I won't get angry about win quits anymore because I can fall back on "oh they probably cheating" to calm the energy that I built during the match.
I actually wanna see someone play this cheater and purposefully mash the buttons that trigger his auto parry and DI while he combos you to mess up his combos LOL, maybe he has auto tech throws and you can mash throws mid combos to force him to throw mid combo and drop them

Fun fact, every user that got within the top 100 ranking for that event had an ungodly amount of games with either 99% WR or 99% loss rate (Main account farming alt account). I have a feeling most of them cheat on the ladder.
Anyone willing to use cheats in casual matches is absolutely 100% using cheats in ranked, there is a direct incentive to cheat in ranked.
This is why putting rewards on that stupid game mode is a bad idea. Only cheaters and exploiters can win, no incentive for normal people.

@@mrblooper1994 I don't play SF6 anymore but do you play on console or PC? Cheaters are not super common but not uncommon on PC but you're unlikely to find them below high ranks for obvious reasons. Or on console due to how the cheat scripts/engines need to run parallel to the game.
So I'm gonna start just looking for these telltale signs and sending those reports.

Oh that guy, Yeah, they cheat with all characters, they are a scripter and is well know in the community

Another way to check is neutral jump and DI in air
there a lot of tells, one if the throw tech, there are also impossible parries... but scripts are the weird one, they can also turn if off if you start fishing for cheating tells
@@xravenx24feit does, but its not cheap. Talking a subscription worth 100+ dollars.
This is very common, especially in Asian server. If you are against CN flag opponent, they are most likely script user with impossible DI reactions
Their culture is far less honorable they simply do not give a f lol
I fought this guy today in BH. Everyone in chat was calling him out and referencing the video. He was 1998 MR. I’m Plat 5 so I can’t comment if he’s cheating.
Thats what they get lol
Seems like the best way to beat them is to make them activate the macros by hiding inputs in your light attacks. Plink 5LP to HK to make them DI and just punish every time
Interesting...
Exactly, tricking the mods is the best defense. I kinda want someone to make an anti-cheat that does something like this to combat the most common cheat mods.
there a cheats that can be turned off mid game in my experience here playing in asia where there are a lot of pc cheaters

I am not sure if that would even work, depends on the cheat probably, but I am pretty sure cheat makers account for such stuff.
It's always crazy to me how these cheaters end up losing, like it's gotta be embarassing
Love watching them ragequit when they realise they rely on their scripts and can't fight opponent's defense

What's the point of cheating in a fighting game? You're only cheating yourself by losing the satisfaction of beating a tough opponent.
What I think is that people care too much about winning and not about having fun or improving.
5:39 the gigachad "I think this might be a bot but it'd be easier to just beat them than call it out"

Wall of text, but yeah I get you.
Use paragraphs man, do us a favour eh.
If you're watching this video, you have recently played a cheater and suspected it.
the biggest issue is some people are new to fighting games and will never clock on to people likes this and think they are not making progress!! waste of everyone's time. cheating gets no one any where
The last convo with Tali 🔥
They changed their name from TransAkumaGirl to AkumaMatata.

Holy shit I remember playing this dude when akuma came out in ranked! This guy was playing super cracked and I was blown away when I saw his hours played in the game. Knew something was fishy about this dude
Lmao bro I just checked the cpt bracket for world warrior in July, they gave you Mena FIRST match😂🤦🏿♂️ you got this bro

@@TheCJRhodes it's rampant.
Cheating in games is pathetic in general, but cheating in a fighting game of all things is just... you really can't get any more bitchless than that
This editing is flames
Thank god for local and offline tournaments in the FGC.
All other competitive eSports like Counter-Strike don't do LAN unless it's like a super major, which means if you are not on those tier-1 teams then you will never play LAN in a serious level unless it's super casual like with friends.
Not the Slovakian flag 😭 no way this fella repping the CZSK scene, this is just fucking sad.
Also, Capcom better get on that game review and ban streak, obvious cheating like this really should be punishable fast.
He has a Turkish flag during AutoMattock's match.
Mf can't decide his country💀💀💀
He uses a Türkiye flag in his game against Mattock. I think the CZSK scene can rest peacefully knowing he's not one of yours. (Plus he had 76ms against Mattock which wouldn't be possible if he were in Slovakia)
I saw knee fighting a cheater the lther day, autoparry, autoescape throws and so on.
The worse part that the cheater was tekken highest rank and still was not banned.
OKSavingsBank?
These videos do wonders for my confirmation bias
The sad part is that this guy isn't banned yet, smug just played this guy and made the bot rquit.
I played this guy in like, Diamond 2 like a week ago. Had to double check in my match history to make sure. Funny seeing him here
I think the rank impact for a best of 1 should be significantly reduced, win or lose
bruh, i never heard of automattock but that shit is hilarious. dude just starts dancing
1:00 to be fair, I would. not every time but occasionally when somebody drive rushes across the screen I sometimes gamble them going for heavy attack and I preemptively counter with DI. It's risky but if you get an allusion what your opponent is going to do it pays more often that you would think.
this was a great promotion for automattock's stream
I fought this same akuma in the hub, he beat me 5x and I realized half way through. He always hit me with DI during the start up of my 6H (I was also playing akuma), and he also perfect parried my dropped combos. In one of my replays I purposefully did 3 or more 6H in a row just to see him DI all of them in the first frame
Watching your video and then Broski......I think I'm going to switch to Modern controls lol. It seems as if these cheats struggle with M control inputs.
Basically if a player acts like a hard AI, they are cheaters. They do the same infuriating input reading shit.
And then smug encountered him too

Capcom really needs to crack down on these bots. I've seen countless Zangiefs using scripts in the last 90 days between 1500 and 1800.
Just like GTA, COD, Halo, etc. But the fact he uses it online is what I'm having issues with because your now on unleveled playing conditions with an unbeknownst stranger ruining their experience and joy of the game now. I used modern before I used classic, I know that's miles from using actual cheats, but I get reducing your physical mental stack down while adjusting to new moves, and knowing the feel of what it's like to get an input down before banging your head into walls trying to just do it causing frustration and burnout.
@@iamsin6808 I did mean online games in my message, but didn't specify, but yea I agree to that point. If someone is cheating in an offline game it doesn't bother me, but people ruining the experience of others really upsets me.
Cheaters cheat in everything doesn’t matter, their small ego would cause them to spiral into depression if they lost in anything.
I'm like 80% sure I played against someone using an auto perfect parry script. But I was playing Zangief so I just SPDed them more
Yo, please dont change your edition style this is so good, fgc needs more editing like these to grow their audience 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Funnily enough, that empty DR into parry is something I could totally see someone demented but talented player do.
That's exactly how I feel on people cheating like this. It's really one of the reasons I don't play online
I played this guy and many others like them in the mid diamond range. They are so much more common than people realise.
I actually wanna see someone play this cheater and purposefully mash the buttons that trigger his auto parry and DI while he combos you to mess up his combos LOL, maybe he has auto tech throws and you can mash throws mid combos to force him to throw mid combo and drop them

I'm fairly certain I ran into this exact same player myself at some point and several others that were legit suspicious. I'm sure the actual percentage of people using stuff like this is very low, but when you do run into one or even have the suspicion that they are running cheats it just ruins any fun you're having.
its sucks cause i just quit playing FPS games cause i was tired of the wall hacking and aimboting so i was like fuck it im going back to fighting games since i have played a SF since SF SUPER came out. yea im old. so i got sf6 and i love it. thne i run into a couple people who just dont seem right and its insane that their is somany people cheating in the game its insane. and i did play fighting games after SF SUPER that was just the last SF i played MvsC 1 and 2 xmen vs SF and tekken. cant just play a game vs people now adays without someone cheating.
my favs are the ones who use counter DI scripts who will counter your DI 100% of the time. If it's not with a DI it's with a throw or jump.
Tho those people tend to mash unsafe buttons and if you can sneak a DI in durning that unsafe button you can eat them up for it.
they are real common in the lower ranks.
Is it THE AkumaMatata? That's a fairly well known person.
