    Great interview. The confusion is he stated he aims for -14db for the vocals. Is this RMS or Peak value ? Thanks!

    Good video!! Jason's screen has the LD-800 pulled up but it looks like he's using the Bill Putnam mic collection which from my knowledge does not come with the Sony 800g model. If that's the case, how is he using that mic with the Bill Putnam collection unless that collection now comes with the Sony 800g?

    • @Townsendlabs
      @Townsendlabs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Well spotted! When you pull up either the Putnam or Ocean Way UAD Collections, you can still access the core models from the mic model selection menu. Jason also really likes the BP-251 models from the Putnam Collection, so by opening that plug-in he can quickly switch back and forth without having to load a separate plug-in. Makes sense? - Julian

    These guys are the best. As I work with the Sphere system in more situations, I'm finding myself with a lot of practical questions. It would be really nice if they had a forum other than Facebook for users and product specialists to share information about using this revolutionary technology. I will NOT do Facebook for many ethical reasons. I understand that TL is a 3 man operation, and it takes time and money to manage a forum. If they would redirect their marketing strategy, they would be getting the buzz the L22 deserves instead of letting a bunch of poor kids get ripped off by the other, far inferior mic modeling system that is getting all the attention and market share. Then they could afford to run a proper forum and site for their product. It's kind of sad, because these guys should have sold hundreds of thousands of these by now. Every studio should have at least one - preferably a pair.

    • @Townsendlabs
      @Townsendlabs  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      We truly appreciate your support and are always open to suggestions for improvements, but your commenting on every video that our marketing strategy is lacking is getting a bit ridiculous. What purpose does that serve? We have a ton of demand, in fact, we're facing significant backorders due to the increased demand and the COVID constraints. We happen to prefer to manage requests and questions on a personal level rather than a forum, and this has been extremely well received. Chris, Erik, and I are always available for a personal conversation if you'd like to get in touch. If you have specific suggestions and ideas as to why a forum would be so important, please drop us an email or dm. Meanwhile, we're going to go back to getting more mics out the door to customers who are waiting to get one. - Julian

      @@daily23 Hi there, we, unfortunately, don't know the status of each individual order but we've been fulfilling quite a few backorders. Now a few countries actually have mics in stock again, but it's very possible that we're not quite there yet in Germany. Your dealer should be able to give you a better estimate.
