- Sorry for my camera that overheats if it's over 75 degrees. The last colony still has no queen but a couple queen cells about to hatch. I had to pull 6 frames of capped honey and spin out to give them some room.
Looks like you've got a lot of work to do. But, you've got some nice strong hives going. Keep up the great work. Thanks for sharing ✌️🐝💜🌼🍯
Thanks for checking it out. Yes, beekeeping is definitely work but fun work. Going through my home yard today, wow!! Good luck with your bees and I wish you lots of extra honey.
Dang, they are strong. Too bad you weren't looking to make splits, you had plenty of cells.
I started with 2 nucs and never bought any more bees. Now I have 23 colonies not on purpose?? I love beekeeping but it's taking over. Never thought I would have this many? Not sure yet where it's going but I do my best to keep healthy bees. Thanks for checking in. Looks like you also have your hands full!
Yay!
Hi There! I saw this video on my FYP.
Thanks for checking it out.
I came home to a large swam on the 15th ,so I got them into a 6 frame nuc but was concerned it wasn't big enough they had drawn comb and syrup and i hoped that would be enough until I could re-hive them 2 days later.
They must have swarmed again because when I moved them to another apiary there must have been a few hundred bees left in there ( I thought it felt light) .
Yes, it sounds like they took off again. I have had that happen before. Good luck with your bees.
Good looking hives but why not getvrid of the other queens or your going to have more swarms
I like to leave 2 and sometimes 3 just so they have options. Hopefully they fight it out and the strongest wins. You are right, they could swarm with a virgin but it's not a big deal, usually small swarms. Thanks for checking in.
