- In this musical theatre video I discuss the new revival of Gypsy that will be opening up at the newly renovated Majestic Theatre for the 2024-2025 Broadway season. It will star Audra McDonald in the title role as Mama Rose, probably one of the hardest roles in musical theatre of all time. She is the first woman of color cast in this role and it will be interesting to see the fresh take the new creative team puts on this old classic.
