I watched this about 6 times before I mustered any reaction to do a "like", or post a comment. I suppose one could react in so meany beautiful, substantive words to relay a feeling of awe, but words are definitely not necessary here, in fact, they would distract more than convey. I think I will watch it again now.
This fair lady is now at the top of my list, the way she moves through the water almost effortlessly and a perfect silhouette under sail.takes your breath away.May She sail for another 100 yrs.
My wife an I have been the lucky ones to own Bojar for 31 years. She gave us some fantastic sailing and possibility to be part of great wooden boat social network.
You should consider doing sea-themed ASMR videos. Did you take the yacht across the Atlantic to the Caribbean or just around the UK? Also, is the sitting area bit downstairs original or fitted later? thanks.
'...I deferred the time of my lecture, and went down to the marina...' - might be the most toffy thing ever said. Beautiful boat, and I'm sure a wonderful skipper.
Wow! It is only a meter longer than our Andromeda from 64 and even has 50cm less beam, still it is really roomy inside! Very impressive and a stunning boat!
I owned #28 Anker built Dragon for 12 years. I would loved to have the money to step up to this beautiful yacht. Nothing beats a Johan Anker design. Thx.
So beautiful. I once owned a 5.5 meter with very similar lines. But mine was built as a racer. She could beat so close to the wind and make good headway. I love your boat.
Thanks for your feedback, people seem to really love this boat. She is still for sale here on CYTV's listings (www.classicyacht.tv/classic-yachts-for-sale/) and if you're interested in modern classics then this boat may be of interest: (SWEDE 41, by Classic Swedish Yachts) th-cam.com/video/EDmDDp771J4/w-d-xo.html
Who among us has really fallen in love a wonderful an terrible thing. Such a terrible power to have over a human life. Great in its power to uplift or shatter you like a piece of glass.
Absolutely gorgious for weekend sailing but cruising ? No way !! Just a v-birth for a 50 footer ? I'm a romantic but I can see what that teak means. Its old enough that it must be screwed down. Endless maintenance ....outside of a boat house.
No, @@d.s.9773 bermudan and here's the old listing so you can read more about here: www.sandemanyachtcompany.co.uk/yacht/148/johan-anker-52-ft-flush-deck-cutter-1937
glassy-eyed-third-mate asks: does anyone have copies of her construction plan (profile and plan view)? I was trained in traditional drafting over 45 years ago and have done some profiles and construction profiles in ink. These of course, are labour-intensive, yet nevertheless, also a labour of love. I literally 'loose myself' in the drawing / drafting process. A framed original as such over a sitting room fireplace, den or house library, will usually stop most people in their tracks. Am still working full-time as a navigation officer in the merchant marine, so I have little time to carry-on with this past-time! Hopefully retirement in 2-3 years will allow me more time to pursue this endeavour..., in the meanwhile, if any viewers / readers of such, can help with a copy of plans, this would be most appreciated.
@@maddocmucmaddocmuc5341 Yeah, and you can very probably fold it away easy, they didn't bother. They should have though. I overlooked it as the yacht is stunning 😎

Moored near her in Salcombe. Her lines are spectacular. A very special yacht indeed.

Thank you for being such a fantastic stewart of this lovely vessel.
Oh really, when did you own her, before Andrew?
They were the last owners in Norway, before the boat was sold to England😊 Arve and Janecke.
'...I deferred the time of my lecture, and went down to the marina...' - might be the most toffy thing ever said. Beautiful boat, and I'm sure a wonderful skipper.
That is simply the most beautiful boat i have ever seen.
Indeed, a perfect beauty!
Somehow modern boats, albeit much faster, can't match the beauty of the classics.
Very beautiful boat. I especially like the very flat, undisturbed wake.
Flat water - perfect conditions!
Wow! It is only a meter longer than our Andromeda from 64 and even has 50cm less beam, still it is really roomy inside! Very impressive and a stunning boat!
Thank you for sharing a video of this gorgeous yacht with us and the music is just as 'sensitive' as the yacht is beautiful.
Stunning. Simply stunning.
I owned #28 Anker built Dragon for 12 years. I would loved to have the money to step up to this beautiful yacht. Nothing beats a Johan Anker design. Thx.
What a beautiful boat. Even had I the money, I wouldn't be worthy of it! I hope it has found a special, dedicated owner.
Such beautiful lines...magnificent!
So nice to see one of Anker's designs well loved again. Certainly I consider him one of the 'greats'.
OMG i cried watching that masterpiece sail!
Absolutely beautiful design. So lovely!
A very beautiful ship.
Inside Top style, outside it takes your breath away.
So beautiful. I once owned a 5.5 meter with very similar lines. But mine was built as a racer. She could beat so close to the wind and make good headway. I love your boat.
What a wonderfully beautiful boat.
Absolutely stunning
So well balanced and light on the helm...such a sweet and wonderful craft. I'll take it :)
Yes, breathtaking. If I had money that's how I would spend it
Amazing!.. that's one beautiful boat and the history.
Beautiful.
Simply beautiful. And I have sailed on Stormy Weather.
Sailing on Stormy Weather must have been great?!
Anker certainly known for his 8M designs.
The perfect boat for me!!!
STUNNING!
Thank you! Also enjoy your films... Would love to visit to your festival one day...
Such a beauty!
A fantastic yacht and it seems to take the modern sails very well. At first glance I thought it was one of the Spirit yachts.

She is a truly beautiful yacht - I sometimes think that modern designs lack the beauty, lost to cramming in another feature......
Спасибо, что сохраняете такую красоту. Затраты, конечно, огромные.
Beauty!
How much the price of this vessel 😢😢😢
Absolutely beautiful...
Super👍👍👍👍👍
Does anyone know the name of the artist or score for the background music? Beautiful vessel too, by the way.
Прекрасная культура производства яхт прошлого века! Англичане - морская держава, с хорошей историей кораблестроения!
Она бесподобна.
This boat does not meet any of the criteria that i have for my next boat. But jeez, it’s pretty. Painfully pretty. I want it. Bad.
It is weird to see her sailing around my home coast, such a beautiful ship its a shame I have never seen her out
Very nice!
Simply gorgeous darling!
Kinda reminds me of the north banks fishing schooner...elegant ...
Classics, therefore, is called classics, that it is honed for centuries.
A thing of Beauti.
Who among us has really fallen in love a wonderful an terrible thing. Such a terrible power to have over a human life. Great in its power to uplift or shatter you like a piece of glass.
The Ocean is a Dreadful Mistress, Hard and Unforgiving she is, she will Love one Moment and Wreck you the Next
@@mysty0 True, but I find if you grab her by the Octopus she's fine

She's a beautiful cruiser!
Beautiful lady, take care off the Girl ❤😊
Nice Price for a beauty
Beauty.
There are surely a lot of possible addictions. But sailing a classic beauty like this must be the worst. there shall be no cure....
Красота! ))
Perfection
Hahaa he deferred his lecture to check out the boat ⛵️🤙
What the type of yacht?
Johan Anker, 52 foot. Designed and launched 1937.... she's now SOLD!
Is this guff cutter?

Чудова класична яхта. На такій можна іти куди завгодно!!!
Who in America can restore a boat like this?
это не просто яхта. это история
In some parallel universe I spent ten years sailing alone around the world on a 40 feet expedition sailboat.
😮 wow
mind condition rare beauty
How delightful she moves I can only hope one day Raf
Want!

для эстетического удовольствия
56 footer - 0:59
👍
Must be way over-priced. 7 years later, still listed for 650,000 euros. They will be lucky to get 200k
"Finds it's own position without any drag" - Hope he is not a science lecturer... :)
Great yacht but I can’t understand that you did get permission to take this exemplary piece of Johan Anker’s cultural heritage out of Norway
Well she's in the UK. Lovely boat.... you could always take her back!
She is in good hands.
If you're going to abscond something you might as well abscond something astonishing.
MAYAN john Alden David Crosby's, comparable vessel
я вот оценил яхту в 10 раз дешевле, я видимо совсем не понимаю в них((
I hate to say that huge flag interferes in the lines of the boat. I wish it had been taken down just for this footage.
Good to know, I personally like ensigns to kiss the water but worth knowing if you like it distracts from the lines. Cheers!
The inclusion of the bimini is a bit of a disappointment. Unnecessary if you ask me.
It's not a bimini, it is the rest for the boom...
Nobody asked you.
