    ATTENTION: SCR MYTHBUSTER: Clarification after reading your comments:
    -- ! SCR is NOT a test for recruits!!! Or will be used for any form of employment/career selection.
    You will be doing a Role Fitness Test Entry (RFT(E)) at the selection centre and in week 1 of BT; and RFT (BasicTraining) + Loaded March at the end of BT. As well as an RFT (Soldier) / AFT respectively at the end of your Initial Trade Training. All of those tests have different test elements (except some) and pass scores compared to the SCR.
    - SCR is Soldier Conditioning Review (Assessment) it is not a pass/fail test but a tool to diagnose strengths & weaknesses.
    It is done bi-annually, so that PT staff can assess individuals' overall fitness condition across all fitness components and adjust/optimise individual and unit Strength & Conditioning programmes.
    - Dress for the SCR is PT kit and training shoes
    - SCR uses a generic scoring matrix (age & gender free) and is conducted at best effort. This said, there are several scoring zones (red/amber and green with several subdivisions within the green zone with higher scores reflecting better fitness ability). In order to attain the required standard on the SCR, individuals must achieve the required standard on all 6 physical elements. If scores fall into a red/amber zone, personnel is required to attend reconditioning PT.
    !!!! ATTENTION: All of the exercises must be performed under the supervision of an experienced PTI and with the right technique. As it is not a pass/fail test, so there is no need to worry !!!

    Having done a sack load of this stuff, for me it's not muscle strength ( that helps of course) but it's the stamina, endurance and cardio vascular work that's important, the most important though in conjunction with the former is mental mindset. When I do this stuff I switch my head to custard and don't think about what's coming or how long, I just keep banging away till the sun goes down then expect a call an hour after I've got my head down. I agree, but I would stand besides harry and die for him. His gran is my queen. And queen of England my land. Others would say mother land but us Brits keep it simple. Brewe up.

      get the nike fitness app and follow one of the coaching programs. If you have two legs and no injuries you can run. It's pace that makes the difference. Start very slow, like a slow bob along, not even a jog, and follow the entry programs in that app. You'll get there.

      Paul Wilson the guy I spoke to at my local careers office said to run up the steepest hill in my area 20 times a day, obviously not everyday just the days your going for a run/jog.

    How many pullups is required and in what timing?

    • @MiketheMadness
      @MiketheMadness 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Shanette Morris-Edwards 5 heaves. To the PTIs timings. So “up” (hold at the top) down (fully extend arms) up. .. so on

    • @Fabziy
      @Fabziy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There are no minimum amount of pull-ups for SCR assessment - best personal effort. But they must be performed correctly and to PTIs command/timing - full pull up completed in 4secs (2secs for upwards phase and 2 for the down phase) until failure.

      FabZiy so are you then graded based on how many you do?

    • @Fabziy
      @Fabziy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're results are recorded but there is no assessment grade (YET) - so best to do as many as you can

    I thought beards were supposed to be against regulations in the British army.
    But of course in these woke times everyone has to bend over backwards to accommodate the muslims and Sikhs.

      Does this mean anyone can have a beard now. As if it is religious this wont be good in a gas gas situation. God wont save him, what's annoying is there are young lads out there who dont want to join up as they want beards and tattoos. But we can let people join up because there religion. I personally no a lad after 5 years got out 1 because there was no tours and two he wanted a beard. I'm reservists and I dont do much as I want a short beard. This is the reality of modern day people. Women can wear makeup wasnt seen back in the day. They can now join infantry regiments. Why can lads have beards.
