Market closed in the Red but sharply off lows, with Nifty giving up 24,400 levels. This only goes to show that consolidation may continue in the Nifty 50 with support at the 24,200 level, and below that, 24,000 will be the level to watch. Globally, comments from Fed Chair Powell have raised hopes of a rate cut as he stresses that US job market is cooling. In Asia, the Nikkei crosses the 42,000 levels. Among stocks on focus will be power grid on fund raising plans, Tata Elxsi post its Q1 earnings, TCS, Bandhan bank ahead of its earnings.
