Kat did fine with what she was given (although I wish her accent would’ve been more like she did as Jenna in Waitress and not as nasally in Country Comfort.) Bad writing. And they hardly gave any time for the main characters to have any chemistry. Could have been much better.
I think she had bad management after Idol. Unfortunately she was doing music that didn't suit her for too long until Smash came along. I think her first husband was her first manager.

People need this in their lives right now since everything is all over the place right now. Kat you put a smile on people's faces for sure especially mine this morning. I could have been a great performer and possibly be on that stage, The only thing preventing me was I have no talent ; ( Truthfully, I am a descendant of the great Giuseppe Saverio Raffaele Mercadante (Saverio Mercadante), he was a great figure in opera composition in his day.
