    You remind me of a college professor having class the way you present your demonstration videos.Very thorough, thank you for that.😂

    You crack me up. It's great to learn from you and see the demos, but your humor & personality actually keep me watching for the entire video!

    Just watching this and fell in love with the Collage Medium Crazing. Then so disappointed to realise it has been discontinued - but just now found one of the sample packs (3 little jars, one each) in a local German online store! (Spend a ton - I had to make the postage worthwhile, right?!) but sooo happy to get to play with this. Thank you for doing these lives and keeping them online, Tim. They are such a treasure trove of knowledge and ideas and learning (and fun!). Kind regards from Germany, Nicola

    Thank you so much for this tutorial! I have seen cards made with texture using stencils. But I didn’t understand how it was done. Now I do! 😊. I bought a multipack of your texture paste that I can’t wait to play!

    Hi, Tim!
    I think no one asked about this: I've seen you store unsealed products with a kind of paper (i think it's onion paper?) on the top, and then you close with the lid.
    Is it for maintaining the product wet? What kind of "paper" is it?
    Thank you SO MUCH for your answer!
    And greetings from Spain. :)
    Happy crafting!

      Hello. I use a product called Press N Seal which is a type of plastic wrap to help preserve moisture in mediums like pastes and glue.

    I have found that the Ranger multi matte medium has a bit of a shine, but that's not the same as this Distress matte medium, right? I do love the Ranger Texture Paste Transparent Glossy! Great for tone on tone backgrounds!

    • @timholtz
      @timholtz  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Correct, it is not the same.

    Can oil paint be applied over Translucent texture paste?

    • @timholtz
      @timholtz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I don't work with oils to know the answer.

    I've heard from other crafter that you should use one set of blending brushes for your oxides and one set for your dye inks. I don't know if that's something you ever said but I'd like to know what you think.

    • @timholtz
      @timholtz  ปีที่แล้ว

      I suggest either having different brushes/foams for inks and oxide, or clean the tools when switching between the two.

    Every time I use crackle medium it flakes off in places. I have used it over distress paint that’s dry of course. And just on vignette boxes. Any tips?

    • @timholtz
      @timholtz  ปีที่แล้ว

      Gesso has the most "tooth" to adhere crackle paste, but the biggest issue with flaking is usually caused by the paste being applied too thick in areas.
