• Around 33 elephant Reserves in India.
The very first elephant reserve or elephant sanctuary was the Singhbhum Elephant Reserve of Jharkhand.
• Mughal Emperor Babur is popularly credited with introduction of Artillery in India, in the Battle of Panipat in 1526, where he decisively used gunpowder firearms and field artillery and defeated the much larger army of Ibrahim Lodhi.
• The Nawab of Awadh ( Saadat Ali Khan -II) in 1801 was the first ruler from North to enter into the subsidiary alliance with the British after the Battle of Buxar.
Subsidiary alliance was a treaty between Indian Princely states and East Indian Company.
Lord Wellesley, Governor-General of India(1798-1805) introduced the Subsidiary alliance.
