The mossy forest is a natural environment that grows only at the highest elevations of Cameron Highlands and other mountain ranges across Malaysia. At such heights, low-level clouds in the sky driven by winds, blanket the forests with constant mist and moisture.

Nope, Mossy Forest is still Open, effective from 1st of March 2019 you need to pay RM10 (Adult) Rm5 (children) at the Mossy Forest entrance. But to go to Mt Irau, you need to obtain the Work Permit from Pejabat Hutan Pahang. Unfortunately until Mini Irau only. The trek to Mt Irau (after Mini Irau) is closed due to land slide.
