Maybe you didn't trained your pet. Once you adopt a pet, you can train it by buying a training kit at the Pet Shop in Area 6.
Note: You can unlock a Pet Shop if you are married.

Does this game have an ending? Like the character dies of old age or something or it just goes on forever?
I have no news about the ending of this game. For right now the game is still in progress to continue the storyline. And I have no news about the developer if they want to end the storyline of their game. But, I hope it will end in a happy ending if it's gonna happen.
