Hi Ann, years ago those Black Copper Maran eggs sold for $75 a dozen if fertile, just saying. I think it was on the Egg Bid site. Might be a nice income.
Not really. There are no grown hens to compare them with in the pen so there's no frame of reference. They're still pretty small and not ready to be incorporated into a flock with full size hens.
Good evening, Ann, it's been a while since I wrote, but I do remember when you got the mail order baby chicks. They are so big being 10 weeks old. They look so healthy. I just lost 2 chickens last week to a fox and then to a vulture. Then this week my barred rock somehow got away from a predator and has like a drop wing. I'm down to five chickens, so, I don't let them free range anymore all day, like I use too, unless I'm watching them. Stay well, and God bless you and your little farm animals there. 🙏🦮🐕🦺🐔🐣🐤
