If the Lions just run the ball and play fast enough in defense to slow down Allen a little bit they should win. If the Bill defense can end Lions drives early then the Bills should win. This game might be a lot of fun to watch.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up finding a way to successfully stop Allen’s rushes and shock everyone in comparison to how they usually play
In regard to Dan Campbell being more aggressive than even analytics suggest, the conversation turned to one that seemed more familiar from when I followed poker news describing peak Gus Hansen, so aggressive that he forces players to tighten up. At the same time, Andy Reid has found his edge in a more controlled style, but with a surprise move just when he needs it, like Phil Ivey. With these guys it's not just about the cards or the guys. It's about knowing what the other will do under specific types of pressure. I'd do a comparison for Sean McDermott, but he's more like the fish, like Phil Hellmuth at a cash game. Lions cover.
The most convincing thing to me was when I saw Josh Allen's road statistics, they're way worse than at home. I forget which show mentioned them. I'd pick the Bills in Buffalo or anywhere outdoors, and the Lions indoors.
Yea.. people really just can't accept the fact that it came to dropped passes and what should have been an interception turning into a huge passing play.
Red zone defense of the Bills is where this game will be won or lost. You can’t stop Detroits offense, but like the Bucs and Bears, if you can force them to turn it over or kick FGs in the red zone to hold them to 17-23 points - that’s your best chance.
The Lions will win this game 28-20. I'd love to see either the Bills or the Steelers in the SB. This team was built for one thing and that is to win a SB. #OnePride
It’ll be a good game. I don’t think a loss here just nullifies Josh Allen as mvp. You don’t go from leading the mvp race after 14 stellar weeks to not after 1 week against the Super Bowl favorites on the road. If Allen loses this game but finishes strong and goes 13-4 with great numbers and the 2 seed…he’s probably still mvp.
Allen would need to outperform Goff, who is also in the MVP conversation and has overall better numbers, excellent completion percentage, and a perfect game.
@ Goff does not have better numbers. He has 3300 yards 25 tds and 10 ints with a Qbr of 63.7. Allen has 3400 yards 33 tds and 5 ints with a QBR of 76.8. And of course Allen is also doing it with less weapons and after losing 6 of his 8 captains and playing through a taped up injured hand, and also doing more spectacular things in the process. Which is why Allen is the odds favorite and Goff is not.
My problem with these analysis videos is they never really do a deep dive on each teams injuries. I wish they would talk about who is hurt, who is likely to be returning etc. They just make blanket statements or none at all about injuries. I never like using injuries as an excuse to lose a game but its a factor that is worth diving into more than most pundits do.
Locked On podcasts do a pretty good job of breaking down those factors in depth! I think there’s a show for each team, definitely worth checking out. I listen to the Bills podcast, and he did a crossover with the Lions this week where both hosts did a fantastic job!
What's hilarious about the NFC championship point is that it wasn't the 4th down calls that got them. Goff threw 1 great pass and one catchable pass and both were dropped. The calls were great, Josh Reynolds just didn't hold onto the ball
The 🦁are going to be far healthier in the trenches than they have been for sometime. IF a healthy Dline can get keep Josh in the pocket, that will be the difference. Its Josh vs MLB Jack Campbell. Amik vs Shakir. It's Goff, Sonic & Knuckles vs Milano. This is going to be good!! #313GRIT#OnePride
As a lions fan. You guys need to stop catering to us. We of all the fan bases know how to embrace reality based on the last 30 years of fandom. Call it as you see it. We will still appreciate your unbiased takes.
Lions seldom use their deep weapon in Jamo and they want to win TOP and keep defense off the field as much as possible. Teams have been playing closer to line of scrimmage than they might ordinarily because Goff seldom throws over 20 yards. That weapon is there though. Don’t know any player faster than Jamo and when the rare deep pass is thrown he is usually having to wait on it.
A game like this can go either way, when certain fans seem to know for sure their team will win, it's because that's the only team they're focused on. Who wins really depends on how the game unfolds or who gets the breaks. When reviewing expert or fan picks after the fact, those guesses often turn out to be way off and they're usually influenced by the way the teams played the prior week.
Bills can win if they out rush Lions. Lions secondary is healthy and best now than it has ever been. Don’t believe Josh Allen will win aerial game, but he can do it with his legs. Not sure who the spy or spies will be, but I believe both Jack Campbell and Brian Branch will have big roll of containing Josh Allen. My prayer is we don’t see any serious injuries for either team in this game. Stay as healthy as you can for playoffs. The possibility of Aidan Hutchinson able to play in SB would be mind blowing!
You know what, I'd be interested in seeing what the internal consistency rating is for these PFF models. I mean the mysterious seemingly random way they arrive at their conclusions makes their formula akin to the recipe for Coca-Cola, the Colonels 11 herbs and spices, or how many licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. Personally I love that Coach is breaking their precious analytic model and I love even more that it pisses the nerds off. Above all I love that my team is finally a contender after decades of rooting for them. This BS that Coach cost them that NFC Championship is beyond old. I guess dropped passes, fumbles, and piss-poor tackling just don't play into it. But I digress. Go Lions!
The thing about the Lions is that last game they were much more injured defensively than they are now. The one person who got injured in that game should play this game plus others who are returning in a perfect world that's the most injured they will be for the rest of the season
Funny that people talk about how the Lions HAVE TO KEEP THE BALL TO PROTECT THEIR DEFENCE! Oh, you mean the top ranked pass defence, top five run defence, and second in points allowed defence? The defence that looks to be returning DJ Reader and Alim McNeil? And possibly Josh Paschal and Levi O. too? The defence with a completely healthy secondary? That one? Look, the Lions go for it on fourth and short because they have outstanding personnel on offence who have been trained by the best OC in the NFL, so they are supremely confident that they can make it. Why would you give the ball away in that situation? WHY?
I think the whole protect the defense idea was really just for the Packers game because of all the injuries. Being healthier this week takes this away, but it's still a good idea to keep the ball out of Allen's hands as much as possible.
Umm pretty sure they have corner and saftey on injured reserve and Detroit is 23 in pypg allowed so I'd where you heard top passing defense from but.... They've also allowed 20plus to every team that's not like an actual bottom 5 team in the nfl 😂😂

I don’t give likes easily. You guys are starting to deserve it lately. If the Lions are going to win against the Bills we have to be able to establish the run. If we don’t it might be a long day for the Lions.
Within that 28% of the time where the Lions go for it when the analytics aren’t in their favor, I wonder what the conversion rate is. I’d bet it’s pretty good.
Campbell trust our kicker and with a healthy defense he was kicking more field goals early in the year. But with a defense this hurt hes trying to protect them. So no 3 and outs. Score lots of points so go on 4th inside the 5.. and let your offense finish the game with the ball in their hands. Hes not aggressive for no reason
Do y'all even know who we're getting back on defense this week? Lol. Jesus. And thing about the Detroit Lions thats completely unique to them as a team is this; they're one of a kind and up can't be compared to any other team or "style" of play. Win or lose I fkn love this team and Id put them up against any team in the league now injured; just wait til we get healthy on Defense. Hutch comes back in a couple weeks. The Lions are going to be a force for years to come. My heart has never felt this full. GO LIONS!!!
Post season last year vs rams and bucs , 4th down conversion to win the game. They wouldn't have been in the championship game if they didn't go for fourth down conversions.
I have a question about the PFF 4th down model, does the model account for the team executing the play or is it more general? If it's more general it would still be a logical choice for an elite offense, like the Lions or the Bills for that matter, to go for it more often than the model would suggest.
I've been a Bills fan 60 years.... The only reason the bills are even in a conversation for anything it's because of Josh Allen..... You put Mitch trubisky in and you'll see what you got with this team.
No...we want Kansas City....and we want them HEALTHY. Detroit trying to win their first SB ever vs. KC trying to have first ever 3-peat. How can that not happen? 👉DvE
I feel the same way, from the KC perspective. It would have a Rocky feel to it, wouldn't it? But then, so would the Eagles. We beat them the first time. But this is a weird year for KC. I'm assuming they are going to play significantly better in the postseason. I think it is Reid , Spags, and Mahomes who understand how to apply game theory to what they do in a way we are not used to. It's why the Lions would be a fun matchup.
As a Lions fan, we will continue to support you if you pick other teams. Just be fair about it. Regarding the Bills, they are a Lake Erie Bro, and they deserve to win too.
Detroit defense is second in the league in points per game. Relative to nothing. No nuance. Just second in the league, period. I dont care about yards allowed because it's irrelevant if you're giving up points.
Sam continues to point out that Detroit's aggressiveness *can leave room for teams to exploit it and he keeps being right. The 4th down stop in Detroit's end of the field was huge for GB getting caught up. Sam's words were the first thing I thought of when it happened.
Didn't hear him talk about the success rate of when going against PFFs suggestions to kick. All we get to hear is they go for it 28% of the time against when PFF says kick. I love to say this to people. If "if" was a 5th everyone at PFF would be drunk right now because the Lions keep winning with this aggressive style of play. How are they on here hoping their models finally turn out to be true against the Lions. Oh well Lions just keep winning. Shut down all this statistical nonsense down that so called experts swear by.
glad we pay the bills, Lions Lions live on neverending suffering, thats a nmeonic in case you didn't know. but now is our time in the sunshine and the fanbase are getting mad that we are changing the nfl, slowly but surely, you can go fys, if you don't like it. It don't matter if we win or lose this game in as far as seeding and standings go. But will just serve as a yardstick. I'm hoping and puttin out there for Gruden to come in as new DC. Then we can have a dynasty.
How many TDs Josh Jacobs would have if DJ Reader, Alim McNeil, Josh Paschal and Levi....if all 4 were there in Packer's game in the second half? Zero ( just like in first game). Lions would have won 34-10. They all are back!! Only 4th down conversion decision was WRONG in NFC championship game was NOT going for 4th and goal on 1 yard line and kicking a field goal, this losing 4 points which would have won the game! Only reason Lions were in NFC Championship game because of 4th down decisions against Rams and Tampa Bay in playoff games! STOP CRITICIZING CAMPBELL for 4th down decisions! That is the Hallmark of him and is the reason he is the most LOVED coach in America!
Awe shucks. If'n you'd both picked the Bill's the Lion's might have had a shot. Superstition pending, whenever the analysts pick the Lions, Lions lose. So it's ify here.

So the Lions should have settled for 6 points instead of the 14 they got off the 2 TD's on 4th down plays. And that's winning football how again?🤔
Converting 4th downs helps the lions overcome turnovers in games
Absolutely nobody's given the bills a chance makes me think they just might do it
these guys hate the eagles
Lions are getting d line help back as well
Lions fan here to pay the bills
Aren’t the lions like 14 of 17 on fourth down this year?
Go Lions!!!
GO LIONS!!!
ALL GRIT. Let's go lionss!!!!...
glad we pay the bills, Lions Lions live on neverending suffering, thats a nmeonic in case you didn't know. but now is our time in the sunshine and the fanbase are getting mad that we are changing the nfl, slowly but surely, you can go fys, if you don't like it.
It's nothing personal Josh
Just to be clear, I grew up during the "black and white era". We had colour everywhere, but TV was in b&w. Just sayin'
GOFF!!!!! Lions blackout Jerseys
who cares about MVP - it is a team game - lions have to many weapons for the 1 trick pony bills
It's a good trick, though. 😊
@@jeffreybateman7314 yes it is - but not enough to win the game
@@rickjames4434 Clearly you have only watched last weeks game.
@@thesedaze2381 clearly you don't know much about the lions
Stop Josh Allen. Simple as that
Can’t stop him, can only hope to contain him.
Bills will not score 40 on this Lions D
Awe shucks. If'n you'd both picked the Bill's the Lion's might have had a shot. Superstition pending, whenever the analysts pick the Lions, Lions lose. So it's ify here.
Buffalo has a 0% to chance to win this game.
Lions are due for an L
Been hearing that for weeks now
Been hearing that since week 7 bro bro. Just like I told Packer fans that were saying the same thing. Week before that was Bears fans, then Colts, Jags and Texans.
And Bears fans will be saying we're due next week.

@@DjturntI didn't see your comment till after I posted mine 😂
We know what's up tho
Lions haven’t clinched anything since the Vikings and Eagles keep winning themselves. Don’t expect them to come out slow
@@SuperTrustFall lmao fr tho I love it
Lions blow out bills gasedup overrated ask sean mcvay😂
They scored 42 you fool
did you watch the detroit packers game, or just reading highlights of it? gibbs lost the ball on the way to a touchdown. if that was a score, game was over. they didnt need to gamble as much on 4th if gibbs scores there. this week mcneil, paschal will be back, and reader is probable... defense line will be much stronger.
Are YOU referring to the Chicago vs Detroit game?
WEEK 14, VERSUS THE PACKERS, Jahmyr Gibbs never had a fumble running the ball, nor did he fumble after a passing reception, nor did he even drop a pass...........
I believe that Gibbs had 6 targets on passes, 6 receptions.
Which game did you watch?
Whichever Team that you are a fan of does not matter.
I cannot stand when people put out false statistics or info etc etc etc about a game or a Team.
Please correctly inform yourself by watching games/ and or reading box scores of games, reading the stats.
