i have recently learn the tab from the tab sheet music channel and have enjoyed playing it as a beginner, but this is beautiful arrangement that i will now learn, it has so much more depth than the one i have learned

Interesting. This piece is actually CANON IN C, but he placed the capo on the second fret which technically turned it into CANON D. Brilliant 🤣
Ah, no - it has always been Canon in D as that is the original key. The fact that it is easier to plan on guitar like this has no bearing.
