Bristol Balloon Fiesta 2023 Friday Morning Ascent Pink Ribbons to honour Peter Gregory

Around 40-50 launched at the 2nd available slot of the 45th annual Bristol International Balloon Fiesta. Gutted I didnt fly but direction abruptly changed and made landing opportunities difficult. Enjoy the walk around video and hope to fly on the next one!

We actually ended up flying in rain not long after I cut the video 😅 I was so relieved I didn’t pull onto the field. I’d be mortified flying Shad in rain.

In the video you were talking about SA's, what is an SA?

Sensitive area: can refer to various things such as an area where we should avoid landing, or one that we need to fly high over because there might be animals which might be disturbed. We have either paper or electronic maps with these SAs marked on them.
