Assigning Peer Reviews for Instructors

This video explains how to assign peer reviews to students in Canvas, after students have submitted their drafts. This video is intended to be used along with the instructor resource manual provided by the Writing and Rhetoric Program at FIU.

If you are having Canvas automatically assign peer reviews, there is a slight workaround to the person who submits their own draft late, but they still want to participate in peer review. Let's say you have the draft due by midnight. If a person is even one minute late, they won't get a peer review assigned to them to complete. However, if you have Canvas assign the peer review at, let's say, 6:00am the next morning, then anyone who submits their own draft late, but before 6:00am, Canvas should automatically assign them a peer review still.

assignments available on: Jan 24
Until Jan 30, And due Jan 26
Is Jan 26 the due date for the assignment? Then Jan 27 assign peer review from Instructor and they have until Jan 30 to complete the peer reviews?

Hi question, is there a setting on canvas that notifies you who has not completed a peer review? Essentially, enforce the peer review completion before they are allowed to move on to the next assignment???
