I mean, the best Trainz Simulator to date.... I think Trainz: a new era is gonna be better, but for the coming 2-4 years i will stick with Trainz 12. :)

Yes, the Beta version of T:ANE is already out, but they said the official release of T:ANE is 27th February 2015.

My first ever trainz game was Trainz 2010, 12, and later on A new era. Not so long ago I got Trainz 12 back and built some things. Pretty good game.

This Trainz is going to be the best Trainz installment yet for me to obtain. I have had 2009, and Trainz 12 looks like the true winner of Trainz to date to me.

This was the very first Trainz game that I played and it was worth it.
I have both Trainz (the version before this one) and Railworks 3 (TS2013), but I have to say that TS2013 looks more realistic overall, although it's limited in other ways. I think the Trainz editor is easier to work with though.

I found it on royaltyfreemusicclips, although it is 39.95 dollars.

This is one of the best Trainz games I've ever seen but it would be cool if you would make one where you can build your own locomotives. :)
Trainz has that feel of accessibility and "easyness" it's simple...
Pick a route, place a consist, and drive it
Even Surveyor is easy for beginners!!!
But it is years behind from Dovetail Games' Train Simulator series in terms of Graphics and overall physics
But TS is hard, VERY HARD, i hate its route creation tool... But i like driving trains on it...
So if we have something which has TS graphics and Trainz Surveyor then that game would be the Perfect Train Simulator
The better thing about Trainz is that they actually improve the graphics

Awesome new game, but I just going to stick with my Trainz 2010 a little bit longer because I just got that for Christmas last year. When I get Trainz 12 later, I would love to play the Mojave Sub and the Northeast Corridor (which is better than the MSTS version).

The NEC route is whats driving me to get this game so much because it looks way better than the one I downloaded from the DLS
It would be a nice detail to have some random suiciders and bandits chasing you on horses.

I've got Trainz 2004 and Railworks 3 and I find Trainz 2004 better than RW3! I've decided to get Trainz 2012 soon :)
Also, I love Trainz too, but love Railworks just a bit more. :)

@Dinosorable well, there is trainz paintshed where you can paint an existing train the way you want it to look but you would have to look into the building part on your own

I recognize those a couple of those "new" trains. The Acela has been on the Download Station for years, and the ATSF B40 can e found of the JointedRail website.

Trainz 12 is a lot better than Railworks 3, because the majority of Railworks content is payware, and Trainz has simplified creation tools!

@TRR2014 Exactly. I want there to be a Trainz game where you can build your own locomotives, easily in the game. In 3Ds Max, it's very hard it build things.

@Trainmaster189 I never got a virus from the DLS, and it was a good place to share the things I made.
Then they locked me out in a program of forced obsolescence.
I'm having trouble justifying $1,000 for this game (price of the disk plus the new computer to play it on) when I'll have to do it again in a few years to stay in the club. TRS04 still works.
When they have some Japanese routes and maybe some 760mm routes from East Europe, maybe we'll talk about it.
I would have liked to hear what the 'sound' sounds like particularly the Steam Locos. I was very disappointed with earlier Trainz releases because of this.
I switched to Railworks it has good sound and OK graphics.
Maybe this is why they play the music?

Trainz would better for the easy route makers, and for the multiplayer... But to be honest I'm still sticking with RailWorks 2012 though for being the most realistic
