Great collection . I admire how well you care for your shoes . Recently found interest to cordovan and this video just made me want to purchase a pair ! Keep up the great work . Looking forward to viewing more of your videos !!!
You might want to check out the bar lacing system on your dress shoes as it really finishes off the shoes so much nicer than the cross method. While it may sound trivial, it makes an appreciable difference for a shoe hound like yourself.
I have a pair of AE boat shoes in Horween Chromexcel. They are the only shoes I store without shoe trees. I see you have your Rancourts in shoe trees. I know Cordovan is very different than Chromexcel, but do you recommend shoe trees for boat shoes? Better yet, what type of shoes would you NOT get shoe trees for? Chukka Boots? Driving Shoes? Leather Sneakers? Curious of your opinion...
I typically do not store my boat shoes with shoe trees during the summer when I am wearing them regularly. However, in the off-season, I typically do store them with shoe trees. I have a pair of chromexcel boots which I do not store with shoe trees, because I am concerned about the chromexcel stretching over time
Allen Edmonds and Alden make cordovan care cream, which darkens them a bit. Other than that, I really don't know. I have found the coloring to be different shoe to shoe, even from the same maker. Good luck!
Sorry - I guess I haven't done it yet. Here is most of my brown shoe collection: th-cam.com/video/J0RRl8-lXx4/w-d-xo.html. I also have Allen Edmonds Strand in brown shell. I have black cordovan cap-toes, wingtips (x2) and tassel loafers so I'm not sure it's worth it.
Thank you for the insightful video. My fascination with shell cordovan began with a hand stitched watch strap & now would love to try a lace up shoe & a boot. Can you please recommend a preferred make / last for a size 8C. Open to most but your advice on choice is greatly appreciated. My experience is lacking in this specific enterprise. Thanks again & be well. - Now sub'd. B.
P4flats you should also look for a belt and wallet. Shell is a great material for both. As for recommendations I would look to Alden for both the boot and shoe. I would check out one of Alden's grant lasted boots and Aberdeen lasted shoes for your slightly narrow foot.
Thanks so much for your reply D. I'll look into both. Went shopping downtown Toronto today & it seems shell cordovan shoes are nowhere to be seen (or fitted) at present. From my searching it also appears that I'm limited to Allen Edmonds for narrow (C or B) width selection, depending on the last. I'll continue onward & will post here if something develops down the road. I'm really handicapped in the "shoe store" D. Be well. B.

Fantastic collection!
Very nice, love seeing the total boat shoe. Showing the total inside of the shoe helps give a better perspective as well!
Very very nice and pricey shoe collection. You certainly know your value when it comes to shoes. Thank you for posting.
Imelda Marcus comes to mind Great shoe collection 👍
I am a big fan of the RL rebranded Crocket & Jones cordovan line.
Wow what a great collection of cordovan shoes...if you have similar numbers in black and brown...I'm super jealous!:)

Loafer shoes should be for tap dance if you tell me ok

nice collection
Excellent! How comfortable are the AE Randolphs? I wear an 8.5E in AE Park Ave.
I find the Randolph very comfortable, but with any loafer the last test to fit your foot well. I would start with an 8.5 E for you.
How do you take care of them? Are you using coloured polish for each pair?
I Did a separate video on my care. Short answer, cream 1-2 x per year. Plus 1x per year paste wax
Nice shoes.
How can I darken my Alden #8 Shell cordovan's to make them a bit darker than they came from the factory? They are a bit too red for me

ok Thanks. I'll do that.
daddyosreviews take your shoes to the store and purchase a shoe cream slightly darker than the shoe and it will darken it as you shine your shoes.
Is this Imelda Marcos’ brother? Geez Louise, you have shoes!
What is your job? I am assuming it is an office job since you have a lot of leather shoes. I hope you reply to this!
Thank you!
Sort of - I am a financial advisor but end up traveling and seeing clients at their business many times.
daddyosreviews Awesome! I love your shoe collection man.
daddyosreviews Do you know where I can still buy a Florsheim Imperial Kenmoor that is made in USA?
Director Krennic eBay is the only place I've found.
Are you going to do video on your black and brown shoe collection?
