Maybe you made a poor offering to the algorythm? If you offend the algorythm by not sacrificing the highest quality offerings, it will start to disfavour you, yes.
Both the Kirby and the Dr. Mario kills were pretty damn brutal, and then it somehow managed to escalate from there with kills like the Olimar one... on a side note, I like how Luigi's skeleton in the Pikachu kill is just a single bone In most of these kills, Luigi was doing absolutely nothing, I'm shocked this is the first time that strategy's backfired on him

I love how many of the later characters have the backpack be replaced with something relevant, like how Kirby has his star, Dr. Mario has a pill, and Duck Hunt Dog has one of those exploding barrels. - On a side note, surprised you went with the yo-yo for Ness and not a joke about the infamous "PK Fire", especially when spammed to create a neverending flame pillar.
