This is going to go down in history as the greatest smash tournament ever, both this set and the tweek vs Leo set were absolutely mental. Regardless of how good Steve is, or how many people will say Acola is carried, both players were playing out of their minds. GG's all around, and I can't wait until the next Summit.

Honestly I found it strange Light neglected to use Shine for so long. Not because of anvil, but because of Minecart. Once he finally started using it in game 5 it instantly made a difference.
I think he was trying to save it until he needed it the most. Kinda like a trump card. If he started doing that at the beginning of the set acola would counterplay and plank a lot much earlier.

It was a really hard MU for Light, but with great mental game and impeccable execution he was able to come on top. Demonstrating the Steve MU is hard but not impossible. Huge respect to Acola, he is very creative and has great Steve execution, don't mistake, he is still a great menace for all top players going forward

After this and acola's win at the gimvitational, this might turn out to be the next big smash rivalry. I can't wait to see these two go head to head sometime in the future.
The fact that Light defeated one of the best Steve player, Acola, shows that the character is not invincible and can be taken down if you did your homework right and plenty of training. Light has fought and gone through some of the best players the past couple of months and results paid off. Also I want to give another shoutout to Light, it looks like after that handshake he wants to give Acola a hug but realised that’s not a good Japanese custom so he bowed instead.
Honestly, anyone who still thinks that Acola is carried by his character should change their mind after this game. In that game 5 he was extremely composed despite being down a stock and the risk of elimination... Probs and respect to him and Light!
Little is said about the fact that Acola had in his nickname "OninPlease", like he was challenging him and demanding that they bring him before him, very careful because a great matchup can come between these two, no, what's more, that matchup will be imminent. postscript: that was a really good game for both :D

Facts bro light has been placing above or at his seed at basically EVERY tournament, and he’s proved himself time and time again that he can beat these difficult matchups against “better” players. When he’s at his peak and is really on fire he’s better than anyone on the planet, I think this is showed best in his set against gluto at this tourney, gluto fresh off wins against the highest seeds in the tourney gets 6 stocked the first two games and then 3 stocked again after a win. Light is fr something else.
Light should've been breaking the crafting table instead of dancing around like he usually does after a stock. 🤣 Would've really squeezed out the rest of Acola's mats. Ggs though, really felt the resource crunch.

After a losers run like Light had, he fucking deserved to win this tournament. But Protobanham pulled once again one of his best performances. He’s not consistent but hell when he plays at his best, he can be the greatest Smash Ultimaye player in the world. Guy can beat Acola in FT10, has a winning record against most top players and has even beaten MkLeo in their last major.
Yeah, and tbf Steve can only jab chain that much in fox and with good timing. Anyway this MU is Steve favored but not by much because fox can put so much preassure so fast it's hard to get resources most of the time. Acola played out of his mind and so did Light, amazing set
@@tb4u646 Those up-airs are not a true combo for Fox, but the jabs across stage are a true combo for Steve. In addition, it's easier to setup for Steve (it's literally jab) and can kill even when it starts at 0% (we saw that this Summit) while Fox can't reasonably kill anybody at 50%.

わかります。同事務所のkolaがリベンジした際にはlightも叫んでたのが印象的でした。
