Great video, I've been loving Striga since I got it to M3. My favourite build in the game right now: Striga Rotweaver Vulture Stigma Diabolicum Burning Stake Kirfane Henbane Ring of Obedience The decay, mass burn, and crazy number of lightning procs make it incredible for dealing with crowds, and the handling and mag size of Rotweaver is ideal for hitting soul sigils to stun major enemies for a quick kill with Striga. You can easily kill the Shieldbearer in 1 mag of Striga if you set it up correctly, with the correct spacing. Normal engage looks like: Burning stake into the crowd, Stigma something big, long range crit on the Stigma cyst with Striga, kaboom. The lightning will often then stun anything that survives, making the follow up shot do even more damage. Excellent at long and medium range, and Striga has no movement penalty unlike other long guns, so makes maneuvering in combat much easier when enemies get close. Stigma and Kirfane is awesome as each cast (of the 3 charges you get) triggers Kirfane's M3, which sets up another lightning strike on top of the one you get for a crit with Striga. Burning Stake is unparalleled for dealing with crowds simply from the ability to light everything on fire at once, nevermind the explosions you get when stake is charged. Eye of a Madwoman is also a very good pick, though you sacrifice Rotweaver's ammo regen as you very rarely get decay kills (lightning bolts steal them). Shadowmist Ring is also very good, although with it equipped you can be offered Ice Arcana, which do not synergise well with the rest of the build.
My favourite gun. It's just so satisfying to use. The only downside - I still accidentally press 3 to equip it due to engraved muscle memory from Painkiller 😅
at first i didn't like the striga because it feels like the shots come off center from the crosshair... then i pinned one of those grenade launcher bastards into the mountain side. loved it ever since

Combine this with stormball and stake with banshee as well as basilisk for elite and boss clears you're practically unhittable. Vulture for close quarters if you get overwhelmed but if u manage to aim with striga you are never running into close quarter combat.
Yeah, a stake + stormball always work wonders, i just uploaded a short on them :) But I want to display other possible combos too, so this time Bell + Shockwave! But good tip with the boss killer!
Its not that difficult to learn it to use it. The projectile is fairly fast and doesnt have that huge gravity drop. The projectile also has very generous hitbox it self. Something like OW Hanzos arrows. Plus the projectile ingame magneticism makes it all overly an easy weapon to use. The only part where it struggles is the Galeon calamity sniping the 3 skulls with. But I bet that can be learned also.
I'm currently using this with Basilisk. I'll never drop Basilisk but still trying to find a secondary. Edit 1: Was previous using All-seeing eye with it.
@@chr_issoThe final mysterium makes Basilisk a lot more usable and it's much snappier than the other sniper. It doesn't have the same DPS, but the elemental damage makes it pretty nutty.
Quick question, what are your thoughts on the basilisk? I’m relatively new to this game and just got my hands on the rotweaver so I have all the weapons now. I really like it so far, and I use it with the cursed bell+stormball, then kirfane, the one that boosts elixirs, and the ring that spawns the bomb just for the added dash distance.
Amazing showcase again. Hangfire and Striga are the only weapons I have fully upgraded, and I was using Striga just for the burn and shock, ignoring the extra damage from the stuns. I might have to try and level up those other spells, after seeing you use it turns out that damage is A LOT. Speaking of upgrading, I'm holding my last M3 upgrade material for the Stake. Let me tell you, the spell is amazing, but I really don't understand what they mean with "Enemies Hexed" on the upgrade requirement. Sometimes I use it on a large group, followed by Stormball (which is fully upgraded) and get 0 progress, other times I get 3 to 5. Seems so random. Took me hours just to get to M2. Do you have any tips on how to level it fast?
The best way of easily upgrading the stake is going to level one of the tower and just unloading with stormball or cricket. The bursts that emanate from the stake itself is what counts as hexing an enemy, not simply lighting them on fire.
Good stuff! Just a question: why mention Severed Ear? Its effect is to knock enemies back; it has no stun, so it doesn't seem to have synergy with Striga. If the Ear had stun it would be godly!
About Hangfire and "subsequent explosions on the same target deal less and less damage". I dont play after this updete, so have question. Now Hangfire doing lower subsequent damage for more then 6 bullets, to fix Cornucopia use? Or now even second bullet explosion doing lower damage? If second, thay just destroyed weapon idea :(
I have no idea what good lightning does in witchfire, early on I haven't seen much use for it but, does ice count as stun for this weapon? that'd be an interesting combo
You're right! It was to showcase that you can't use this method against the biggest enemies and if you play it like this, you need a single target damage dealer for bosses!
@@chr_isso This looks cool but it seems very reliant on spell stuns, so you'll need them fully upgraded as well as 40-50 Witchery to play like this. Cool endgame combo though.
Do we really need a video on hangfire? I mean .. it's not OP anymore but .. does it need a showcase? It's not really unique or special in the way you play it, is it? Shoot empty, reload, win... Or do you have any special suggestions i should look into?
@chr_isso I just want someone to tell me that it is still good. Any new recommendations to replace it in the Hypno + Hangfire + Stormball + Burning Stake build? I tried Basilisk as another fire weapon and it was working well, but just doesn't have the ammo capacity I need

Looks like it was an unintended bug and the devs fixed it in this last update. I definitely missed a few shots because of that.
Ha, maybe that's why I didn't play it too lol. Before the Video I only had it on m2 and didn't like it. But now.. it shreds!

PSA if you want to farm witchfire fast i would recommend foul stimulant it will give you double witchfire. Even from your crystals in your inventory.
yeah good one! mix in some metanoia and luck and you can farm tower level 2 for crazy witchfire gains!
This gun is my go to weapon now. Combined with Madman, the AoE is insane.

Not too much of a fan of the snipers, but whatever works for you! I really like striga after my playtests!

I think they need to make it so that you can sell 10 second mysterium to make a third mysterium cause i have to many second mysterium
i thought about that too, but farming m3 on irongate castle is not too hard. you need to do the pentagon event outside the castle.

yeah, watch my short on Burning Stake and Stormball. It's so easy to level Burning Stake!

Might give this a try, but I'm not big on the slow projectile speed
with the stun, the velocity doesn't matter anymore!

Uuh, good question. I don't think so, but Freeze will work with the burn effect, resulting in a nice explosion!

yeah as the M1 says: it relies on stunned enemies.
you can also stun with shooting the soul sigil but .. this will consume ammo!
@@chr_issoif you pair striga with Hangfire, it's super easy to do though. You just shoot a few times, dash, and reload when you see the soul sigils.
