Chandril no doubt is a brilliant wit, with amazing introspection ability. He reminds me of Syed Mujtaba Ali at times. One would only hope he selects topics that inspire and encourages a work and ethic culture in Bengal, which seems to have been completely lost.

যে দেশে বৃহৎ ব্যাবসায়ীর কর ছারের সমগ্র মূল্যের থেকেও স্বাস্থ্য খাতে ব্যয় নগণ্য, সেই দেশে চিকিৎসা প্রয়োজনীয় জিনিপত্রের অভাবে, হসপিটাল থেকে রুগী ফেরানোর সম্মসা টা যে স্বাভাবিক, এটা মেনে নিতে বাধা নেই,
লড়াইটা যেখানে স্বাস্থ্য খাতে ব্যয় বাড়ানোর জন্য হওয়া উচিৎ, সেখানে সময় বাঁচিয়ে প্রতিবাদ দেখানোর সহজ রাস্তা চিকিৎসক পেটানো, এতে অবাক হওয়ার মত কিছুই নেই।
যারা সঙ্গত কারণে রুগী ফেরানোর জন্য, চিকিৎসক প্রহার করতে পারে, তাদের রুগীর যদি কিছু হয় , পরেরটা ভেবেই বুঝতে পারা যায় কি হতে পারে।
পরোক্ষ ভাবে চিকিৎসকদের রুগী ফেরানোর প্রবণতা কি আমরাই তৈরি করছি না,

Intellectual discussion on problems in India. They discussed how Tagore translated speech in tough Bengali that no one understood. I think on one in India today has any inkling of what will solve their problems. Besides foreign affairs and defense, all the states should conduce all their functions, resulting in all round development. A state that will create a thinktank, that is missing.

I tried to understand this talk between Dr. Kunal and Chandril, but failed and left confused. What I understood is the west Bengal culture is Rabindra centric. Coming from Bangladesh and ignorant of affairs in India or west Bengal I earnestly wanted to know why Tagore composed India's anthem and few songs mixing Hindi and Bangla. Can anyone please explain what was his philosophy in doing so and what did he intend to achieve? When Pakistan wanted to blend Urdu and Bangla we became independent. Was Tagore trying something similar?
Historically Krishana preached the Sanatan religion and its influence promoted the Yadava tribe to prosperity and they multiplied to 38 million, 9500 bc (recorded in Vishnu Purana, page 352). The Yadava spread to all parts of India and today 70-80 % Indians are Yadava. Bengla is an evolution of the language carried by them to Bengal and probably is the closest to the original Gujrati prakrit (?). Do we need to pollute our language? Do we not need to feel proud of our language?

Dr. Kunal Sarkar is coming out very pompous. Perfect example how Bengali urban population worships a Doctor's Profession. Thus, creating such huge power division within the society. Just based on the way he talks, his body language shows how proud he is of himself.

Is there any renowned doctor in Kolkata those who shared their contact number with the patients?? It has became a habits of some doctors to keep waiting their patients for a long time!!! Even some of them remain busy with TH-cam or with the reporters of TV channel. Please let me know what step/measures could be taken by a patient if he/she could not get proper treatment from a doctor?? What does family physician mean?

I definitely enjoyed this highly relevant and thought provoking discussion. But there was one moment at the end where Dr. Sarkar in his parting remark said China is an example of a weak society governed by a totalitarian State. I am somewhat disappointed by this observation. The reason is, until and unless a majority section of a nation achieves a certain level of efficiency and expertise to deliver no totalitarian state can make it to happen.
Whatever advancement and achievements that China has acquired it is because of the will, determination, expertise and hard work of a huge section of the people of China. This fact cannot and should not be overlooked or denied. If it is denied or overlooked then it will amount to hypocrisy.
What makes Dr. Sarkar to think we are a strong society? Does Dr. Sarkar think that just by protesting we qualify of being a strong society? We as a people have not been able to deliver the level of expertise and efficiency as the Chinese. This itself proves that we are a weak society.
Or is Dr. Sarkar trying to suggest that simply protesting is an indicator of a strong society and achievement is not?

সরকারী হাসপাতালের ডাক্তার দের ব্যাবহার এখন আগের থেকে অনেক ভাল। এমন কি চিৎসা ব্যাবস্থা ও উন্নতি হয়েছে। কিন্তু বেসরকারি হাসপাতাল গুলো বেশির ভাগই রুগীর পকেট কাটে।
