Love the blend and the name. I think we all need a 50 gallon drum of it right now! ;)
I once made a tea blend for my son who had a couple of bouts with kidney stones. I called it "Rolling Stones". ;) It's fun to be witty with tea names.
Love what you guys are doing in the apothecary!

You two are such a blessing on so many levels, thank you so much for sharing your passion's with us! I have worked with plants for most of my life, and have a good knowledge of them, have now ordered most of the books from your suggested reading list, have a stock of jars, amber bottles, vodka, olive oil and bees wax! Am looking forward to my flowers coming up this spring so that I can try my hand at medicinal herbalism!!! You have been an inspiration for me to try something new and I thank you both!!

Oh dear ladies watching you two is a blessing to my soul. If my daughter didn't live on the opposite side of the continent in a different country, I would be popping over to her house all the time. NOPE, I would live in her garden shed with a little wood stove and create many tea blends for her from your recipes. THANK YOU for sharing your LOVELY bond with us! May the Lord's light keep radiating out from you.

I just watched this video and it reminded me of a conversation I had with an older (than me) gentleman. We were both at a city permit application office for a chauffeur license several years ago. He was telling me about some of his high profile clients and the verbal abuse that came with the job and how to put up with it. He looked at me straight in the eyes and said, anyone can drive a limo, but not everyone can be a limo driver.
Watching you and your mom mix teas is so on the mark. Anyone can mix teas, but not everyone can mix teas with the love and passion you two mix in with them.

Ok, here's a question for you guys from a beginner.
I dabbled with essential oils for a bit, but I didn't understand anything from their chemistry, because nobody sat me down to explain it to me, nor did I know how to search for that information at that time (years ago).
But what I did understand is that aromatherapy is an art mixed with science, in the sense that you can't just blend oils, you need to blend them in the right order, qty and according to each oil's constituents and how they interact with each other.
Now, in ayurveda there is something similar with at least certain herbs.
How much does this principle apply to stuff like tea blends and decoctions and how important is it to have the right qty, etc?
Thanks in advance for your reply!
You made me fall in love with herbalism and find my path. Although I can't afford now to go to school, I am taking shorter (and cheaper) courses, then I'll hit the books, and next year maybe I'll be able to go to a proper school ❤

As always I love spending time with you girls - I’m always smiling with you🤗 Question - do the effects of a tea like this blend, begin as soon as you have a cup? Seems like many herb books say to drink like 4-5 cups everyday for it to work🤷🏻‍♀️ Also, if I took say the list of herbs in this blend, to my doc for “approval” his eyes would go crossed and roll back in his head - when he came to he’d usher me right out the door. 😄 I’m thinking prob best to research each myself…. OH!!! And! Sorry one more thing sometimes an herb or blend can make me feel kinda of “yucky” I’m wondering if it’s not just some initial toxin release response and to keep taking it to remove toxins and then feel the good effects?

I love watching y'all create a tea blend!
It's beautiful, fun, and has a purpose!
    So Great!!
And it made me wonder if I could ask you to create a blend to help my daughter, and others who find themselves in the same situation?
She is in her mid 30's.
    She's a working mom.
She is an RN who works in 2 hospitals (60 hours a week right now), in one hospital she's delivering low income babies, which is a special kind of stress all to itself.
And in the 2nd - she's a Lactation Specialist, which is a new avenue for her, and soon to be her only job.
Personally, I'm hoping the new job will be much less stressful for her!
Normally, she regulates her stress (which is high due to her job) and depression using herbal tinctures.
This has been working very well for her for years.
But now she's got a NEW situation.
    She's pregnant!! YaYYYY!!!
This is very good news, and she was in the planning stages for it. However, it happened sooner than she thought it would, and she hadn't gotten to the planning stage of what to replace her herbal tinctures with, due to all the warnings about taking things such as ashwaganda, while pregnant.
Naturally, she quit taking her ashwaganda as soon as she found out, and I believe that's the one she misses the most right now!
And bcuz of switching jobs & hospitals, she has new insurance, and now needs to choose new doctors too.
Not that her insurance covers herbalists, it doesn't. Which is one of the big reasons we're lacking in that department!
I also take herbal tinctures, and medicinal mushrooms for all my health needs, so she and I have been trying to research which herbs are safe to take while pregnant, and especially during the first trimester.
The problem we keep running up against are all of the disclaimers about consuming herbs while pregnant!
I understand why they are there. There just hasn't been enough research from the medical community to make them comfortable enough to say one way or another.
    I get it.
But it's just not helpful right now!
My instinct tells me there are herb teas, and blends that ARE deemed "generally safe" to take while pregnant, but since we don't employ an herbalist, we don't have that information.
I mean, women have been using herbal remedies for CENTURIES, right!
    So I was wondering, -
Might y'all or your teachers be able to help with this one?
Creating a tea blend to help with stress, and depression, either together, or separately while pregnant, and also while breast feeding?
Just a generalized blend for pregnant people?
I know you cannot "prescribe" anything for people you haven't met.
I'm not trying to put you on the spot that way.
So if that is what I have done, then I apologize, and I would understand if you must decline this request.
I was simply thinking if there is any inflammation on which herbs are safe for most pregnant women, that would be just so very helpful.
This is going to be a minimum of a 3 year journey for my daughter, and while she can power thru the first trimester without any herbal back-up, I have my doubts about a 3 year span, mainly concerning the depression.
Thank You for reading my super long comment!
And I look forward to all the herbalism y'all explore! ❤️
